  • Hey glad to hear they sent you a cheque after you sent them a letter. I wrote a formal letter of complaint after logging it with Trading Standards and Consumer Direct.

My letter went today to Managing Director of P2UD+ Customer Service Manager + Cashback Claims (ALL RECORDED 1st CLASS post) to get my chq for my 1st claim (made in August!!!).

Fingers x'ed they will send me a chq within 14days deadline I gave them, otherwise I will file a Small Claims Court action for £120 plus £30 to cover for the admin fee.

My next claim period is end of November. I will NOT give up. And I urge everyone else to keep fighting all the way if you have to. C'MON!

  • Hey

Just wanted to know if you claimed for £150 (£120 + £30 admin fee) as part of your Small Claims Court submission. I might have to do one myself and I was wondering if one could claim for 150 instead of 120 via the SCC. Any advice appreciated.

I am hoping P2UDirect will send me my cheq for my 1st Claim (August!!!) within 14days of my formal letter of complaint which I sent today (7Nov). If they don8T send me my cheque by 21st Nov, then Small Claims Court is the next step.

    Cheers

  • Very suspicious voting activities... out of the 7 votes for 'received cashback with no pressure', 6 of them were registered between 16Oct-19Oct and had no post counts on their name. Of course they could be genuine users just wanted to go through the hassle of registering and vote.

make that 7 out of 8 - another new vote by 'robthebob' who also registered as a user on 16Oct and also has no post count to their name.

Through no fault of my own I've lost some/all of my cashback
I am thinking of submitting a claim to the small claims court against Phones2udirect. My details:

    *********
Phone Connected by 02 on 21/02/06
    180 days later = 20/08/06

A bill came from 02 on the 22/08/06 and so this was my first invoice after the 180 days and so this was the invoice I sent to phones2udirect to claim.

I sent the 02 bill on the 30/08/06 and it arrived recorded delivery on the 31/08/06.

I have continually sent emails, left voice messages, sent a fax but not one word of response was gained from them.
    **********

If you notice something incorrect in my details above please say so, but I feel I have complied with the terms and conditions of phones2udirect.

I will start proceedings on Monday 13th November, and will keep you posted.

My 9th month anniversary is on the 22nd November!!!!

    Regards,

I've received all cashbacks due with some (non-legal) pressure applied
    Round 2

1st Cashback Claim recieved very late and after legal presure.

    Now 9 month Claim

Submitted with relevent O2 statement recoreded on 29 September. 60 days later and still nothing.

I've emailed and have now phoned their CS number (Again asked to use email).

After forcing the guy to listen to my situation and informing him that they are 'In breach of their terms and conditions' (Small Claims Court looming) - He's sent internal email to relevant department.

    Deja Vu

None of the above (post details of your situation in the thread)
I sent in my first claim only to have it rejected as 'too early,' so I sent in a repeat claim Special Delivery, advising Phones2u that this claim was still within the 21 day time limit advised on their website and not the 14 day limit stated in their letter which, although dated 6th November, was not actually posted until the 13th November, effectively rendering me out of (their erroneously stated) time.

As the Carphone Warehouse actually administer my billing I have emailed both Charles Dunstone of CPW and Peter Richardson, MD of my airtime provider O2, to suggest that Phones2udirect's reputation will inevitably tarnish them as partner providers and to suggest they bring pressure to bear on the company to cease their sharp practice. I'll let you know what they say...

    Customer Service Enquiries:
Most information is available online and in the T&Cs, however if you have any queries not answered on the site or are enquiry about an order placed, please email us using the contact form or call on 0870 4446383.

You'll end up sepeaking to someone who claims it's not their department and they have no access to the cashback details and for you to use email  . I just kept on (due to previous experences with them) and he said all he could do was send and internal email to that department. They've done this before on my previous claim. Whether they do send anything or anyone reads this is debatable.

On my last claim, I phoned and was informing them they had 24hrs before a small claims submittion 'as if by chance' :rotfl: somone from the cashback department happened to be walking past and they put me on the phone to them.
  • I had to issue legal proceedings to receive some/all of my cashback
1st cashback completed in accordance with their T&C - had to issue proceedings against them via moneyclaimonline to get what was owed.

Therefore it will come as no surprise to anyone that had to do it all over again for 2nd cashback.

Didn't get the £30 court costs but don't care - as long as these crooks pay up out of their bank I am happy.

I've requested that Trading Standards and Watchdog have a look at them

I didnt get my court costs back either. Im wondering what my next step is in trying to get the thirty pounds back.
