Beware O2 Broadband

I've had o2 broadband since November and haven't had any problems so far. I got the cheapest package (£7.50 per month for unlimited downloads).
I generally stay under 10GB I think but last month I did download probably well over 40gb and haven't heard anything from them.
I'll update this if I do get a phonecall from them!0 -

You won't.0 -
Maybe you should talk to your son....or maybe you are exaggerating.

Received an apology text from O2 regarding their claim we had sent over 8,00 texts. Apparently they had sent this message in error to more people than just me. So, Donnie, O2 aren't infallible and I don't have to check if my son was lying to me , nor was I exaggerating. Hope you'll get over the shock of hearing O2 were wrong and someone on this forum, other than you, was right, and that I was telling the truth.0 -
That ironic, isn't it.
From the man who signed up for O2 Access because he didn't understand the simple difference. The main site would have differentiated between the two, if only because of the substantial price differential.
Your son must be proud of your ability to try to pass the buck....
Still waiting for the link of where you saw the recommendation. No one here will swallow such a story. You were either careless or just....0 -

Think that your imagination is running wild. Nowhere have I written that O2 was infallible. I just insinuated that you were....unlucky.
Along with your inability to accept that you made a mistake when signing up for the Access product.
No one here is backing you up in your assertion that the product was recommended by Moneysavingexpert or by anyone else for that matter.
Accept it and move along.
Don't take it all so seriously. I'm not personally affected so I have no beef with you. But don't try to pass the buck. It was your fault.
Please don't try to tell us that you posted to help others. You posted because you were angry.
You only learned of your mistake when we pointed it out to you.
So, accept the responsibility and move on.0 -

Clearly you are the one who can neither read nor understand. :rotfl:
You couldn't read and understand; Here are the cheapest standalone broadband packages for people that live in 'local loop unbundled' or LLU areas (about 70% of the population). If your local exchange isn't unbundled you'll pay more
Whereas I can read and understand it.
Please don't embarrass yourself with a further show of your inability to accept responsibility over your own lack of education.
Teach yourself and your child due diligence. Don't try to pass the blame for your lack of intelligence on to this website. You were simply ignorant. Just accept it and move on.
There is no bullying. You just seem unable to accept this fait accompli.
There is no one who is supporting your assertion that it was recommended by this website. Which is what you tried to assert in your first post.I signed up with O2 Unlimited Broadband after seeing recommendation on here
You are just wriggling like a worm.0 -

Instead of ranting, maybe you can point out where, exactly, I have misrepresented what you have written.
You post doesn't contain a single fact. It only represents an emotional outburst.
It seems to me that you are trying to bully us into believing that this website in any way recommended the Access package.
It's not working, so give up or go away.
Take a look at the title of your thread:Beware O2 Broadband
Please, you are just a victim of your own stupidity. Don't try to pass the buck on to the Moneysaving website.0 -

Take a look at the title of your thread: . Does it mention Access anywhere in your title?

Firstly I have used this site for years and would recommend it highly. I signed up with O2 Broadband after having seen it recommended on the main site. I was aware it was more expensive because of the area I lived in, but that wasn't an issue. The recommendation didn't say that O2 access gave you less download rights on their Unlimited service. When I had a bad experience with O2 I posted here to avoid others making the same error I had made (which I believed was O2's fault, not this site's). The reason I mentioned the recommendation on here in my original post was that was what made my post relevant to users of this site. You claimed (using your mind reading powers) that my original post wasn't a warning. I would suggest you look up the meaning of the word 'Beware". From the very first response several people have agreed with me, but you deny this. I posted on this thread that I was unaware till now of the difference in terms between LLU and Access. According to you that made me uneducated, and stupid. You also cast doubt on the truth of other posts I have made regarding my actual usage, a txt from O2,my control over my children and accused me of exaggeratrion. You have had no
reason to do this or any facts on which to base any of this. Your pomposity, agressiveness and failure to see what is written are the hallmarks of your posts. Other posters have agreed with me about O2 Access, others have said that the recommendation on the site is not clear about the difference. You are a small mided fool who attempts to look big on the internet by trying to belittle others. I have no doubt you are a coward in real life and wouldn't dare to make the statements you make online face to face to an adult. You really aren't worth any more of my time. My purpose in posting has been served, anyone reading this thread will know the dangers of signing up to O2 Broadband's Access package expecting to get the unlimited downloads they pay for. Hopefully the second benefit will be that everyone here has seen you for the bullying, rude, small minded, blinkererd coward that you are.0
