Beware O2 Broadband

It's perfectly clear from the article that what was recommended was O2 LLU broadband, you must have known that this was not the product you were getting when you signed up, as the price for O2 Access is so much higher than the base £12.50 (or £7.50 with O2 mobile discount) on LLU.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Could it be something to do with this:

To be fair you really can't trust the main site on a product like ADSL. They recommend the cheapest as they seem to consider all the products equal when of course that simply isn't so by a long way. The main site has even recommended Tiscali in the past so I don't doubt they picked O2 out of the hat as cheapest one time and just made the recommendation.Maybe you're just....unlucky. But really it just sound like you are passing the buck. I would like to see the link on the main site that recommends O2 Access.0 -

If you put a non-LLU number (like yours) into the O2 availablility checker then you get the following message. Seems quite clear to me.
You're outside the area that O2 Broadband covers, but all is not lost. We can offer you ourAccess package .No free lunch, and no free laptop

stevefreebie wrote: »the link on the main site recommended O2 broadband - didn't say LLU only or except access. It recommended O2 Broadband. Do you understand now? I doubt it though, your previous posts have shown you have trouble understanding simple statments.
That ironic, isn't it.
From the man who signed up for O2 Access because he didn't understand the simple difference. The main site would have differentiated between the two, if only because of the substantial price differential.
Your son must be proud of your ability to try to pass the buck....
Still waiting for the link of where you saw the recommendation. No one here will swallow such a story. You were either careless or just....0 -
