I think I’m in a real minority – I don’t love it or hate it – I do eat it occasionally, but I could take it or leave it.
I prefer Vecon. Does anyone else eat this? You get it at health food shops – it’s a concentrated vegetable stock. It’s black, thick and a bit grainy – almost like the consistency of set honey – and tastes salty and like celery. I do use it a bit in cooking but mostly I eat it spread thinly on toast.Your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or other loan secured on it.0 -

I like Promite better than Marmite as well. Do you get Promite?
Yep, have tasted Vegemite, and found it way inferior.None of my four kids who all love Marmite would touch it! Never had/seen Promite, don't think we get that here
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Chipps - the same thing happened when I was at a conference! At breakfast there was an industrial sized tub of marmite, and we watched a Germany guy take a great big wodge of the stuff, slather it all over his bread, and then spit it out in a hurry!:rotfl:0

I love marmite, so does Dh and DS... However - can use as punishment for DD... tidy your room or I'll make you marmite sandwiches..... (you won't believe what my spell checker makes of foreverskint!)
yumyumyum:p you need to try it to appreciate it.
And now I really would like to know about your spellchecker lol0 -
Yep it's a hit in my house and is all that I could eat (on white toast) when preggars with DD. Have tried Tesco's own version and think it just as good.
No idea how you would make it though!0 -
My partner ate loads of the stuff and I thought he was disgusting, but the £3+ jar used to last him an age. How I am seven months pregnant and have marmity toast with banana on for breakfast it goes down a lot quicker. I don't really care about brands but you need marmite and coca cola don't you0
