Asda do their own cheaper - Yeast Extract - it's identical even down to same jar. In our local store it's next to original but I have seen it in with cooking ingredients as well.0

I buy in Makros when on offer. DD has loved this since she was 6 months old and personally dont think its expensive as we only use a scraping each time. A large jar last months and months:D

I once sent some Marmite across the pond for the uninitiated .... she buried it in the back garden after a taster :rotfl:
Used to have Russian students. Put marmite on the table for breakfast and they mistook it for (I assume!) Chocolate spread and spread it really, really thickly on their toast :shocked: they were .. :lipsrseal .... :whistle: .. :rotfl:
researcher - yes, it's something people love or hate
Personally, I love it as a marmite and iceburg lettuce sandwich in the summer :drool: very refreshing
And I make marmite loaves in the bread machine too :drool: great for packed lunches
