If you think it's difficult to get into a deadlocked Mondeo...... I won't post the answer on here, but I'd be in one, (cleanly, no trace) within 120 seconds. It does require a bit of car knowledge though, deadlocking is good for keeping the "amatuers" away, it's certainly no bad thing.
Regards,
Andy
I can second that.
My Mondeo alarm refused to disarm a few years ago.
We called our mechanic freind and he had it disarmed and mobile within seconds.
I couldnt believe how easy it was.
I hope fords newer immobilisers are a bit better.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -

My previous car was stolen from outside a hotel in Bradford in 2006 and found abandoned 6 miles away with an empty tank. The Toad Power Key immobiliser I had had been bypassed.
It took 3 months to repair and now had a better alarm and the day after I got it back, a separate gang attempted to steal it from outside my house in Aylesbury. They trashed the electrics and the alarm had to be replaced though.
This was this car. Lovely car but between that and the number of times people drove into the back of it, I was glad when the engine died during a fast corner and sent me backwards off the road writing the whole car off.0 -
What is it? A Mitsubishi something?? Looks alright.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Subaru Legacy B4 RSK. 2 litre with sequential twin turbos.0 -
The Scooby was valued at £7500 when it was written off in late 2008, and got MPG in the low 20s. (High 20s if I did a constant speed motorway run at 70ish)
The Cefiro is basically impossible to value as it fluctuates with exchange and shipping rates, so I am dreading ever having to make a claim like that. Cost me 5 grand all in to buy it, bring it over, pay the tax man, prep it for use in the UK and register it. Of that 2 grand was the original purchase price in Japan (250,000 yen)
All in all, writing off the Scooby made me 2.5 grand profit. £125 got me a sheddy Volvo 940 to pootle around in for 6 months while I got the Cefiro and the rest paid off some debts.
MPG on the Cefiro? It was only getting around 22mpg, however I've changed the exhaust and apparently the cat was clogged up on the old one. I haven't given it a fair test with the new exhaust yet as my driving has not been carried out with economy in mind.0 -

Nice - you have a car many people will have a look at
My car is only returning 22-23 MPG if I am lucky, that's around town, jumps to 30 MPG roughly motorway driving.
However, I think the petrol going up is not helped as use to get a few more MPG around town.
I am wanting to changed the spark plugs and HT leads before winter, I don't think it's a really hard job, but have you ever seen the amount of bolts holding the manifold on top on with on the V6 I have? LOL - have a look in Google 2.5 V6 DuraTec engine.
I'm just nervous I won't get it back together right :rotfl:
mrbadexample my car windows have been tinted since I had them done two months after buying the car, 3 years ago.
I have not been stopped once and it has always passed a MOT test.
You can have any level of tint you wish on the rear windows, I personally have Limo Black.
My front windows beyond the B-Post are not tinted, however should I wish to have them tinted, so long as they allow at least 70% of light through.
Therefore, I hope this answers your question, No my windows are fully legal and tinted correctly.
If you want more information on window tinting and the law please see http://www.carkeys.co.uk/features/everything_else/2276.asp0
