I know mine as it goes off daily at work - it's far too sensitive to the HGV'S rumbling past!

This is why I like my factory fitted one.

No cr*ppy movement sensors, but if the window is broke, door/boot/bonnet opened it will go off, the same if anyone tries to mess a round with the electrics.

A proper made alarm without the silly fuss of having to have to shut it up every time a lorry/car/person goes to close or kids decide to set it off

My car has a factory fitted alarm and dead locks. I've tested the alarm a few times before by opening the door with the key. As far as I can tell it sounds the same as a lot of other car alarms I hear on a regular basis. But I should be able to tell if mine is going off as my car is nearest the house. :)

I wouldn't mind if mine was broken into anyway LeeUK
I have full contents cover up to £800 with a £25 excess, so long as they cant take my car, I'm happy :)
Which they won't be able to without my keys and there kept well out the way ;)

I just don't keep anything valuable in the car and nothing on show. Unless some scrote fancies a pack of wilko's dash wipes which are in the door pocket and a 2007 AtoZ which is on the rear floor. :p

I've got a soft top with an 'interesting' and 'wide ranging' alarm system I fitted myself (amongst other security adaptions) so if the Pager alarm goes off in my pocket and I hurry back from my baseball game! to see what is happening to my vehicle, as you would.

I only carry a SatNav - if someone really wants to steal it and go too all that trouble for a £150 NavMan then be my guess, its insured

Other than that, my standard factory fitted CD/radio is useless without the key code, so ;)

I don't leave my SatNav in the car and I pop the windscreen mount in the glove box. I don't use it every day anyway.

Even though you say your stuff is insured, you still have the inconvenience of having to call out and wait for someone to come and replace a broken window. And then submitting insurance claims etc. :(

    A NavMan.

I bought it few months ago after dropping my old one :o

Was £200 but reduced to £149.99 so had to buy it ;)

I would ask people to read maps, but think its a nicer drive having a SatNav directing you :)
