Fair enough, this is true. And I think you're right to say that they need to discuss what was going on here. But if he's basically a decent man who had an off day I don't think I'd be huffing and puffing around demanding an apology. If it's an ongoing pattern then they definitely need to talk about it :)

Hi i didn't see this post! He is a decent man, he's great BUT the whole waking up thing is a disaster, a lot of the time he is up but if he isn't im nagging him like a child, i find it quite stressful having just walked in from working since 6am then there is dd to wake, then there is the lounge to sort for the toys and the car seats to do and the bell goes and 6 kids descend and all hell breaks and i NEED him to be up.

IF he was having an off day i am very sorry about that but it will be due to him going to bed at stupid o clock..not that he will admit this..HE was tired and couldn't get up, not me.

That wasn't a vent at you btw..sorry just getting annoyed with the whole stupid thing!

    thanks guys!

Will get confused replying to all the posts individually so will just ramble on!

Basically it is a long standing arrangement with the children that he helps..he agreed to help out with this and i'm sorry but i still stand with what i have done/said and am actually pretty cross about the whole thing now as he is blaming me for waking him up isn't he?

I can quite happily lose a couple of the mindees if it is an issue and he doesn't have to do anything but he did say yes to this so it's not like i dragged him into it kicking and screaming.

Whoever said the comment about 'are you in a bad mood'? that is my worst thing to get annoyed with, tbh he says it when he doesn't agree with something i have said or i dont agree with him and it winds me up..i can be in a perfectly good mood and it just completely gets me! At the mo i couldn't be happier..we have a nice house..holiday..well now on hold!..lots of nice things to look forward to..good jobs and a cleaner to ease the stress on me..although another dillemma there with them but?!..anyway what i'm saying is what was i supposed to do..in all honesty just leave him and let the kids be late for school until he was ready?

He got home this afternoon and just looked at me and i said 'alright' he replied 'yes thanks' the only other comment was 'when are the children waking up' atmosphere is not the word! I have carried on as normal and worked till 6pm... i have just got back from walking the mindees home..i walked round the corner and the car had gone..he has obviously gone to work early..he never does this, he always waits for me..i feel quite upset actually as won't see him now till tomorrow morning and nothing..dd is not here either so feel pretty crap after a nice day.

I'm confused. What does he work as? A teacher?

Fang he is a Chef and in the police part time. What i meant was in the holidays he doesn't start work till 10.30am and i can guaruntee he will wake at about 10.15 and dash out the door, meanwhile i will have been up getting on for 5 hours.

Oh gird your loins. You know very well that it's true.

I'll do no such thing with my loins!!

Anyway I can't do make up sex - a civil handshake is about all I can manage after a humdinger.

Then just place your hand on a different part of him when you shake it and you'll soon be a sweaty, heaving mess on the floor.

Gaby, can I make a suggestion? My OH has two alarms. One near him and one on the other side of the room. Now if he turns the one off next to him the other alarm goes off 5 minutes later and he has to get up, go across the room to turn it off and he's up! HTH.

Ha if only you knew how bad he was at waking up and how he could literally sleep through a bomb going off! A few weeks ago i woke early and forgot to take my phone into the bathroom and hadn't turned the alarm off next to the bed..i got out of the shower to hear this beeping from both alarms and him fast asleep..this was about 5.30am and it goes off at 5.15am! I don't know what to suggest for the best really.
