EON energy fit meter What is yours reading?

Consumer Unit-the box with the circuit switches or MCB's on it.
No, I meant the other way around-you are supposed to fit it below the meter where the supply exits, how otherwise do you know which cable to attach it to? If that doesn't work, follow the cable through the wall into the house.
Repeat question-is your meter in an external box?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
oh the meter is outside is that where i am supposed to put it?My Signature is MY OWN!!0

Mine only works when it feels like it. I'm glad it didn't cost me any money.0

Where are you currently trying to put it then?
Suggest you read the previous replies, which explain the two options. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

on the inside of my flat, i dont knw anything about these things I am NOT a technical minded person and the two previous comments make no sense to me,.
the instructions dont say anything about that it could be outside my flatMy Signature is MY OWN!!0 -
The instructions will say that it should be fitted to one of the wires (usually the red-tagged one) that runs from your meter to your CU. It's irrelevant where the meter is, as long as the display unit can get a signal from the transmitter.
I have no idea what internal wire you have been trying to atttach it to, as you haven't explained that.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
think i got confused as some people were saying they moved the transmitter/monitor closer to each otherMy Signature is MY OWN!!0

Try it attached to the meter first, if no signal then move the transmitter indoors closer to the CU. In that case you just have to follow the same wire through the wall and pick it up on it's way to the CU.
Presumably you have fitted the batteries with correct polarity to both units first? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Occasionally, my unit will show q continuous red light for several minutes. I've lost the instruction booklet, can anyone tell me what this means?
ThanksPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
