I have long said that these things are a waste of money, time and effort AND are totally misleading !
Your figures prove this beyond any doubt - if you have to ask why I say this, I am afraid it shows how many people are taken in by these gimmicky things !
If you don't believe me, which you undoubtedly won't, just read the rating plates/handbooks on these pieces of equipment and see if the compressor on your fridge/freezer was actually running as well !!0 -

Ok just moved the clip to another of the electric meter cables and it's reading
624 watts
£44 per month
£1.44 per day0 -
Settling down to
451 watts
£31 per month
£1.09 per day0 -
Sounds more like it. To those who say these are a waste of money, I disagree. I swear by my Owl monitor. Ok so it over reads by about 15% but most importantly it has saved my bacon a few times when I've left the cooker on without realising.0

Had ours since Friday. Reading is ~140watts early morning reading. Fridge/Freezer, Freezer, Router, Phone Chargers.
Jumps up by 40 watts when I start our small Atom based PC Server (the old one was 160 watts) - very pleased with that.
Monitor is permanently connected to Atom, very interesting to study the data etc.
All in all we are impressed with it.0 -
Don't forget that fridge/freezers aren't always on, they have a thermostat.
The only thing I leave on all the time in my flat is my PC and the fridge which comes up to about 200w.0
