I would think it is a worthwhile saving if just 1 in 10 fraud reports to the DWP result in less being paid out.

Why should my neighbour have a mobility car? This morning I watched him carry 2 heavy bags of shopping at least 30 metres from the car to his front door. He can nip up to the pub 200 metres away faster than I can. Sometimes uses a stick if he thinks anyone is watching. I bet there isn't a single one of us that doesn't know someone that is vastly exaggerating symptoms to get disability benefits.

I think everyone who is investigated and found to be claiming fraudulently should never be able to claim the benefits again.

because you dont no his medical histroy or what he put on the form, and because sometimes you just have to do things like bringing shoping in the house because theres noone else to do it, iam lucky sometimes dad picks things up for me or taxi drivers that know me well will drop things in the flat for me

Why would it matter what he put on his forms?

Lies are lies and if he wrote lies he should be charged with fraud.

You cant do what you cant do, it dosnt matter how many excuses you make otherwise or what you write on a form if you cant do something, you cant do it!

I have lived next door or to him for 4 years. He has to be lying or most of the country would have a free car. He cleans his windows, cuts grass, waters the flowers every night.

You've heard of better and worse days, haven't you? Although how you're meant to prove that he's lying, without making yourself sound like a stalker, I don't know.

You remind me of someone I know - he claims I'm not disabled (clearly, having to put stuff in my eyes, which burns is just for fun) and that |I shouldn't be getting DLA. He OTOH, claim HRM and claims he can't walk - he walks bettr than I do.

You mean the car he pays £50 for each week?

I mean the car the taxpayers pay £50 a week for.

    Well we shall see.

This one isn't. Anyway enough. You obviously feel that everyone receiving DLA is just one step from canonisation. And that is dreadful that the present government is of the opinion that perhaps 20% of present claimants are not entitled. That is 1 in 5. So as there are about 10 recipients of DLA posting on this thread at least 2 of you can expect to lose it.
