Today I ran - about 40 minutes again. Sunny, lovely day here - and after all day at the computer it was a very welcome diversion.

finally feel as if I managed a reasonable run after 8 weeks of regular overtime, which has hampered any training at all (other than the week I was off work during that period)
just back from 3.08 miles in 29:05.9 mins (average pace 9:27/mile) - but whyyyyyyy does it always feel as it's there's more uphill than downill work, even though they must be the same 'cos I do circular routes !!!!
11 weeks and 5 days to my half-marathon (for which my number arrived in the post on Saturday), so I really need to start cranking out the miles now :eek:Cheryl0 -
That's a pretty good pace, cw! I am sure you will be fine as you build up those miles.
Just 40 mins for me this evening - nice to be running in the light again though!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
3.6miles in 38:13 for me today. Quite enjoyed it. One part was off road by the river and it would be lovely to run on that kind of terrain/with that scenary all the time.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

Hi all,
Well, I haven't been out for over a week now. After falling last Tuesday my knee is still scabby and the bruising is coming out slowly so it's a lovely shade of yellow-green, and it's still twinging.
And to top it off my lovely stepdaughter came in last Thursday coughing everywhere but not bothering to cover her mouth up or ask for a tissue or a hanky  So I started with a sore throat Saturday afternoon and have been ill since then. Been to docs today but it's not bacterial so I'm keeping on the Benylin and Strepsils.
And to top it all off I find out on Monday if I'm being made redundant from the job I was only bloody recruited for in November last year :mad::mad:
Not a good week!Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.0 -

Went out yesterday, 2.6 miles - which I found more difficult than I would like! But it is a start. Feeling good today so planning to do 3.3 miles tomorrow, on one of my favourite routes.
k_bagpuss - sounds like you're having a total 'mare of a week, I hope you get better soon!“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Ooh, it's quiet in here recently.
I thought I'd come out of lurkdom and report a nice early 10k today, 1hr 04 - 10:08/mile. I was going to pop along to the local parkrun but woke up early and didn't want to wait around until 9.00, it was lovely round the country park and along the sea front.
