It was a lovely and warm evening indeed. I thought about going for a run but then my dad skyped me. Did Shred instead.

just been out with the dog - we did about 8 miles relatively slow apart from the last couple where we put our foot (and paws) down!

Well I've gone and put myself out of it again :(
Did a 3K pace session last night with the club. Just over a 1K run to the start, then we did a 2 x 1K course in 5mins 30seconds with 2 mins recovery inbetween followed by a shorter sprint circuit then the run back again. All fine, it was a hard session. I think because I was tired I wasn't picking up my feet very well and I tripped over an uneven section of pavement and went flying. My left knee took most of the impact and I put my hands out to stop my face hitting the pavement (and still have that lovely burning sensation!) I hobbled back round to the car as we weren't far from the clubhouse but my knee's are really painful so am having to take more time out. My calf had just nicely healed too! So feeling thoroughly fed up :(

Sorry to hear about your fall k_bagpuss,it's really annoying having injuries...:(

Went for a run last night after work, just 2.77mi in 31mins but it's a start. :o Running on tarmac didn't feel good on my shins so run on grass as much as I could. Think I'll do the same route tomorrow and then next time go bit further.

Hi - took the bike to work yesterday, up at 6am to do a 14 mile trip.

Was at work at 7.10 so left work early to beat the traffic on way back.

My plan was to do a run straight away but was too tired so the dog only had a short walk.

Saves money but asking a bit much to cycle, work, cylcle then run - will have to build up to it!

Yes, 14miles is quite a lot twice in a day and then a run.

Forgot to say earlier that legs are feeling particularly sprightly after yesterday's run so it obviously did a world of good. :)

Hi, may I join you guys please?

I haven't run for a few weeks, and regularly for a couple of months... In my opinion I am very unfit at the moment but I am probably not too bad thanks to TA training (although not very intense recently), so I can still jog a couple of miles without too many worries.

I just lack motivation to get out running at the moment! Once I am out I enjoy it, its the getting-out-of-the-door part that I have problems with!

I am thinking of entering the Redcar 1/2 marathon on 12th June, as a goal, and doing a few intermediate distance races up to then. Do you have any advice? Or am I overstretching myself trying to get up to that distance in 11 weeks? I'm 22 if that makes a difference!

    Thanks :)

Hi Lotti, of course you can join in!

All I'm going to do is welcome you in and ask, what is TA training?

tirlittan - Territorial Army, well technically OTC (Officers' Training Corps - a subset of the TA for university students, sort-of aiming to get people to become Regular Army or TA officers) but it is easier just to say TA!!
