I went for a run last night and I just didn't have anything in me,after 1.2mi I had to stop, but did start again and run back home and ended up doing just 2.2mi :(:(:(. However, this was after 3.5mi cycle, but still, am so unfit I've never been this unfit in my life and the way up is just so hard...will keep going though, there's no other choice.

You kept going, though, and like you said you had also been for a cycle ride - most people I know wouldn't be able to run a mile (I only know one apart from me!), let alone cycle for over 3, then run for 2 :) Be gentle with yourself...you'll get there x

  • I did 3.5 miles yesterday and did at least 10 mins of that at 7mph :D I'm trying to build my speed as well as stamina now...I've proved to myself I can go the distance, now I want to do it faster :p (and outside!)

Hi guys - a cold has scuppered my training this week - I was so tired last night, I even went and had a nap while dinner was cooking :o

I certainly won't be doing my intended 18 miles on Sunday, but if I am no worse than I am right now, I will hopefully get 10ish miles done instead which will have to do.

Until then, rest it is......and tissues/daynurse/nightnurse/vicks at the ready

    Happy running everyone x

    Good luck hypno.

We went yesterday to see James Cracknell doing the Marathon de Sables. Brilliant film, though the guy's nuts!

I saw it too!! Absolutely brilliant, and quite fanciable too :rotfl:

Mind you, those blisters were fairly yukky - yet my daughter who came with me to see it said they were no worse than my own under toenail blisters.....

He reminded me little bit of Gordon Ramsey, similar voice and looks but obviously younger and fitter version! :)
Blisters where really bad, don't know if I could burst my own if I had them on every toe! Amazing mental capabilities though, very inspiring.
