Well done on making yourself go gym Tete! Such a shame the instructor was off :rotfl:

I am now thinking my sore ankles are coming from the wrong footwear. as a supinator i bought shoes a few months back i 'thought' were right for me, but upon checking the heel wear the outer edge of the heel has started to wear down, so defo off to get gait analysis done as soon as funds permit!

I used a machine at gym today, was like a cross trainer but was more running than the usual ones. Any ideas what this is called? It was good so will use that while letting my ankles have a break from impact!

    Happy running folks :)

Just back from a very enjoyable 5k run tonight after work. I printed off a half marathon training plan yesterday which had some tips for different types of runs eg shorter run = quality run and work on improving aspects - for me stride and knee bends and kicks. A work in progress but it went well and will be doing another one on Thurs before the 2 big runs at the weekend

Just got confirmation of my entry into the 10k race in Apr - its real now and really happening!

Its a lovely day and I'm just deciding whether to go out for a run - think I'd better take advantage of this fine nice day for once

Just back from my usual easy 5k run and found it a bit more difficult tonight. That's how it is sometimes - some days easier, some days more difficult. Very mild out there too which was a good reminder of how pleasant it was running in the summer and autumn when I first started

Next run is a 10k over the weekend

    Happy running everyone!

The dog is asleep on the couch, twins in bed peace at last.

Been a bad week on the eating front loads of cakes because of birthdays at work and was the twins 1st birthday so only had time for a couple of runs this week

14 miles for me today, on what must be the most beautiful morning of the year so far here. Very muddy lanes after the rain washed a load of muck off the fields this week, but other than that was fab!

I thoroughly enjoyed it - 7 weeks to go til Marathon day.....I think I am more or less on track really......need to put in some serious effort over the next 3 or 4 weeks though to give myself a good shot at beating my PB.

    Happy running everyone xx

Well done hypno, sounds like its going really well for you.

I'm still aiming to get to 50mins for 10k and I'm planning on going out for a run in a couple of hours time. Which means I'd better get a move on and do some reading for uni

Have been running regularly, but not posting as regularly :o Ran 5 miles yesterday......anyone know why your knees might start feeling warm during and after a run? Not painful exactly, just a bit uncomfortable. I have upped my miles quite quickly, so am easing up on that - any other ideas?

Sounds like a great run hypno - it was beautiful this morning, turned dull and now the sun is peeking out again :)
runninglea - I haven't been losing any weight since I started running again - I really don't know why!!!
fedupandskint - 50 mins for a 10k sounds great :) I haven't really got any goals that I am aiming for, but probably should as it would keep me more focused, I think

    Keep running, everyone xxx
