Hi mascott (and everyone else :D) and well done!

Did a few runs Nov/Dec, then the bad weather came... went out last week for a 5k, which was slow. Hope to go out again tomorrow, then start on the parkruns again in the next week or two

:DNeigh, neigh, and thrice neigh :D
  • Have done another two 50 minute runs. Tonight I walked the route I took on Sunday when I have the most time and it was 9.2K . Now I only ran 6.6K of this but at least I have something to beat. :D.
Also it wasn't raining.I know it is very MSE to run outside but I really don't like the heavy rain when I run.
Hope you get your place in the run macgirl

Thanks TG, no place sadly :( but I'm in the main ballot now, so fingers crossed for that. No run for me this week. I went out on Sunday but had to head home after a mile or so as I was sliding about on the ice!

Can't wait for the light evenings so I can get out more. Got a 10k race at the end of the month, so need to get a couple of long runs in over the weekend.
  • Sorry 'bout that macgirl:( but I'll cross my fingers too

Had a wonderful run yesterday - feeling strong. All the circuits I am doing seem to be paying off. Still heavy though but there are three months till Wilmslow Half.

Macgirl, are you happy with your Garmin? Have been thinking of getting one.

I am working away now and still not fully recovered from the dreaded lurgy but I will get back to running. I am feeling that I need to start from scratch again. I am thinking on doing C25K again or what other programmes are peeps doing? I would be grateful for any tips. I am able to run only twice per week until I can get a child care situation sorted and can go for park runs on Saturdays (I need to build up back to 5 k before that :o)

Happy New Year everyone! (better late than never:o).

Went for my first run of the month (and for a month) last Tuesday. Felt a struggle but did 4.5 miles. Next day I did Shred and was bvggered but also went for a long walk on Saturday.

Yesterday I went for a run again, same route. First mile was really, really hard and I didn't think I could manage the whole thing, but finally settled in a rythm (a very slow one) and it felt ok. Not great like it used to,feel so heavy at the moment, but I'll persevere. Today it's Shred again,Thu hopefully run,Fri Shred,Sat maybe a park run...though I don't want to have a really crap time on my sheet...:o but it'll probably the only way I'm going for a run at the weekend.

Good running everyone, keep at it!!! :T

  • Hi Marru. I am doing the gateway to 8k and there is also a freeway to 10K .These are on the podrunner website and are all free to download:money:Though I think some of the music is pretty dire but you get used to it! They are the same principle as c25K. So if you are a little bit fit you could start with them as they also build up gradually.
Firewalker I have a polar heart monitor, if you want any info on that.
I wish there were some parkruns near me as they sound quite exciting.
Well done everyone . Keep running:D
