I am back - just conquered THE HILL. Run for about 50 minutes but my Nike+ doesn't work so not sure about milage. Better to do time anyway. My new running shoes are ace - feet don't hurt, all well. Wilmslow here we come.

Day off for me today but tomorrow is run day and we have had a thaw for the last 2 days meaning all safe and grippy now!

well done firewalker and fedupandskint for getting out there. For the first time in about two weeks I can actually see the road and pavement which means I should go for a run in the morning I feel SO out of practice:o I decided if I posted here tonight it might make me more determined to go out in the morning.

Did it and it wasn't too bad:D. Week 8 run 3 done of G28K. I am still only managing about 6.5K in my two twenty minute runs but I thought in the holidays coming up I would try and run every other day and I would record how far I run in total which will give me something to try and beat;)
New hat and gloves were great, warm but light weight.

Did another 10K this morning - very hard work at times and felt tired. Having 2 days off now to recover! Not quite ready to do a 10k with no intervals yet so will stick at week 9 for another week on Freeway210K

Ha! Got up, got on my running gear, opened the door and bravely I went...Ten meters later I realised that I am not running, no...I am sliding and risking a fall. You got it - everything was covered in black ice. Managed to get to my friend's house somehow (a combination between brave running, figure skating and hopping gently) but the she almost fell. So running was done but in the gym on a treadmill, I am afraid.

Pity, it is such a bright and sunny day. Still I am back and running, and feeling great for it...

Exams are over (for few months at least) so I now I want to get back running. (Unless I go down with a lurgy )

I need some running gear so my guestion is what do you wear in this cold weather when you go out running?

Well done everyone who's got out! I haven't ran for ages, partly due to the snow and ice and partly due to not being bothered but made myself go out for a 5 mile run with some walking- not great considering the distances I used to run but still...

Hi,
I tend to wear t shirt, leggings, and a jacket designed for cycling. ( Altura Night Vision) . I cycle a lot, but its great for running as it has a big pocket on the bum to carry bits and bobs. And a hat, which gets taken off when I am warmed up.

This week a 10 k and 5 k in the snow, I am slowly building up to 2 halves in Feb / March.

Due out again on Thursday/Sat/Sun! We shall see!
