Hmmm. I did the park run on Saturday and I went there with a purpose of getting a pb, after being pleased with my first 10k run and very motivated. I though I ran well, started bit faster than usually, but not by much, then continiously speeding up at km markers. Overtook quite a few people. Really went for it at the end as well. Didn't have a watch on me though as I've misplaced it in the move so had to wait for the official results...And I did get a pb...by 00:03 seconds!!! It felt really hard work and that's all I took off.
Made me think though. Atm I'm just running, maybe I should, finally, start training. Cos on that performance, my 25 minute target will stay a dream...

Well I have finally managed to get myself out running this evening and got the usual buzz from it even though I only managed 2 miles.
A bit of an odd question... I know you can get runner's underwear but I can't seem to find anywear that stocks it. Any suggestions? And does it make a difference wearing special pants?0 -
I did a lovely 10K on Saturday and 5K last night. Now I'm back at work I'm not managing to get out as much as I would like, but that's life!LBM Jul 2010:[STRIKE] £29717.06[/STRIKE]

No running for me since last Saturday's park run. Have been feeling tired and quads are feeling heavy and tired as well, even on my short cycle to work...Maybe I've caught a bug. Might have this week off as supposed to go mountain biking at the weekend, weather permitting.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

After being forced to stay in and revise/do an exam I am really looking forward to getting out tomorrow. Part of me doesn't want the forecast torrential rain to hit, the other part of me says it's a good thing and there's always the treadmills!0

VLM 2011 - Ballot Results
Mrs Alias was denied, though im sure Mrs Alias would of denied the entry, even if it was sucessful.
Mr Alias however, paid the extra fee & is still waiting for the paperwork to arrive. Being that Mr Alias has now moved since the application, no paperwork will ever arrive for Mr Alias so has to ring back after the 11th October to find out more information.0 -

I am sure Mrs Alias is very sad indeed!
Good luck to you, though, for getting that paperwork through!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi guys,
I have not been here for some time but this does not mean no training. But I had not run since last Saturday - did mostly circuits. Today I went for a run - I did not run far but I did run fast and strong (on the hillett). I felt like a grey hound that has been kept of the race track for a long time - just went. My body and soul were singing while my mind calmed down and I could focus on only one thought without disturbance - glorious.
Oh, and it was glorious Manchester day as well - grey, overcast, raining and about 13C. Loved it. I will run Lausanne in under 4h 30 min - yes I can.
