Well, Pania and I ran the Ipswich Half today.....it was very blustery and rather "undulating".....but we did it!
My time was 2 hrs 17. Pania struggled a bit with the hills so was a little behind me, but we both agreed that it is a good base on which to build for those Spring marathons, so all in all very happy with our efforts!!
But boy do I ache nowSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Well done to both of you for achieving your half marathon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for me I did L1 of Shred today and it felt like I had never exercised before with how I felt afterwards - good grief! That workout is tough but I'll stick at it and see if it works!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Hi there,
today was my first long(ish) run for some time - the longest I could do in Sofia was about 5 miles I think. So today I did 6.3 miles on hills and loved it. At least I have not lost much fitness; if anything have regained some.
I also registered for Lausanne Marathon today - it is 50 euro but running is one of my protected wants.

Out on Weds - same distance as last week, but 2 minutes quicker :j (and a LOT more tired at the end of it :rotfl:)
Another next week, then I'll do a PR on Saturday, providing I don't overdo it at the Muse gig on FridayNeigh, neigh, and thrice neigh

Good luck Lurks
I am pulling out from Cardiff half. There is no way even if I was able to run on Monday that I can build up my mileages for it. PahPilates today, two days of rest and then I will try running. Failing that it will be back on the exercise bike or shin allowing x-trainer (which I prefer). And of course need to dust that Jillian thingamy.

Sorry to read that, marru.....but better to get yourself repaired properly than to risk doing longer term damage xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
