    Nice one Firewalker!

I'm back from my 5K this morning feeling good but was a bit slow at the end.

Shred is winging its way to me and should be here in a couple of days!

Did 2 miles only yesterday. I have felt really ill the last couple of days and just didn't feel right when I set out, so had to cut the intended 5k short, disappointing!

Made it! Finally got out for my first run in a month :o

Didn't think I'd get too far when I started getting twinges in my knee and foot almost immediately, but they were only temporary and did 5.5k in the end :) in a shade over half an hour. Felt I could have done more, too! Time didn't allow, sadly

And its all a bit scary because I was in serious danger of enjoying it :undecided

    Enjoy away Lurks!

Everyone I tell I am running 5K in the mornings before work cannot believe I am doing it, as if it is weird and I am pushing myself to the limit!

    I'm enjoying it!

I've just worked out a 10K training programme from asics and might start on the podrunner programme too to work towards 8k next as managing 5K no probs at the moment

Aiming to get there by Oct, let me see if I can!

Well done lurkio for getting out there. I haven't run since 10th! Bf is going for a swim after work though so I'll see if I can get my feet pounding the pavements.

Fedupandskint - go for it, you'll be running 10k before you know it!
And yeah, it's funny how 'normal' people view others who do exercise. My bf does a lot of exercise;cycles to work, used to go for runs (has a stress fracture on his foot atm so can't do that),swims, climbs etc and his work mates thinks he's nuts. He also eats a lot and they're always telling how he's gonna get fat. Jealousy I think. Keep going!

Today was a good day - cycled to work and back (about 10 miles) and although this cannot be counted as training it does make one fitter. After that went to my gym (bliss after the improvisations of the Sofia playground) and did my circuits.

Weight not going down - needs drastic measures.

Same here! Wish my weight was going down with 3x3mile runs per week. Why not???

Ran another 5k this morning and it went well even though another runner absolutely sped past me as a really really fast pace at 5.45am!

This weekend is the start of the next phase of training. Shred DVD arrived today and I'm planning on starting podrunner increase to 8k phase

Have a good running weekend everyone

  • Did 10K again yesterday, slightly faster than the last one, but yet again my right ankle is feeling it today!

    Hello,

And well done everyone especially Sparkles - you have come so far in such a short time :j

I am now hols for five days until DD goes back to school on Thursday. I went to pilates class yesterday and it was absolutely brilliant. Much better than any I have been before. I felt like million dollars afterwards.

Planning on starting shred properly tomorrow, I have only done it once so far. And TA DAAA - I am aiming to have my first run on Thursday - gentle two miles from P&R to work. Need to work out if I have enough time to get ready for my planned half mara in mid October.
