Morning, I did 10k on Sunday and 5 this morning.
Scared myself when my HRM started beeping like mad - my heart rate was up to 200! (I'm 40), I'd only just set off, so slowed down and it then averaged 154.

Don't know if it's a dodgy monitor or if I should see the Doc.....Anyway, happy running everyone :)

    Well done Sparkles :j

I have had couple of occasions with HRM that it has given me funny readings but with some readjustment of the strap it has normally got sorted.

    Hiya all.
Haven't been running since last week and only managed one run then. It's just bit hectic atm with trying to find a place to move in with my bf and lot of other things as well.

I gave up on HRM at the start, didn't like the readings and I didn't 'feel' what the readings said.

Think most people start with a pair of 1 or 2kg weights, though you may be able to manage slightly more. Trust me 1 kg in each hand feels plenty heavy after a few minutes.

Thanks for all the well wishes at getting to the 5K mark today - couldn't have managed it without the programme podcast and the support on here

Really wish I'd joined this thread sooner after staring at it for over a year and a bit!

Might investigate this shred stuff now
