Ran 2.75miles Week 8 Run 2 this afternoon and found it quite hard at times - breathing wise. Funny thing was I think I ran it quicker than run 1 as I finished further along the route today.

Planning on Run 3 tomorrow to finish off this week and build up to at least 4 run days next week

Well done you...didn't take you long to get back up to that distance!

And it didn't take me long to wonder why the heck I thought it was a good idea :rotfl:

Got up and went out for Run 3 today from Week 8 - it went really well and a big improvement from yesterday

Might start week 9 tomorrow if legs hold up for it and reach the 3 miles target - first milestone reached! Then need to think about what the next one is and start aiming for that!

    Hello,

Back from hols on narrow boat. Did do some running between locks but mostly it has been good strength training with all those heavy lock paddles and gates. Yesterday we did 42 locks in a row and I went back and forth on bike preparing locks and then shutting previous ones. Leg niggles only little bit but then I haven't done any decent long run. Going to have a day off tomorrow to figure out how to recover my training plan for Cardiff Half and then hoping that my leg will behave on Tuesday.

No running today, I am afraid - the temperature here was 35C and the national TV is warning people to tyr and not go out except early and very late. Tonight we went for a longish walk - there is a very large park about 2K from our apartment. The park was full - including runners - so tomorrow, I suspect it will be late running.

How am I going to be a lean, mean running machine by the end of October?
