Sometimes that's the only thing you can do LMS,try.
I haven't been running for two weeks now. 2 days off ill at the start of this week and only bike commute on the last 3 days done. I feel good enough to do something next week but am taking it easy so will aim for 1 run, 1 swim, 1 spin and core session.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Just a short 3 miles for me yesterday. THought I would be aching from Saturday's 5 miles but was actually feeling quite good. Found the first ten minutes quite tough yesterday but once I got going it felt really comfortable.
Still just slow and steady but starting to really enjoy it now. Rest day today but I really want to run - oodles of energy this morning!0 -
Heya all!
Thrifty, good to hear you're enjoying it! When and which half mara are you doing?
I'm thinking of maybe doing a half mara now,it would be the Bristol one in late September so plenty of time to get the miles up and in.

Doing the Great North Run in September. Plenty of time to train. I'm trying to do a bit of a mini-challenge for myself to make training a bit more interesting - to run in as many different places as possible! Nothing too far away but just something to keep things interesting. FOr example, one weekend having a long, slow run in nearby countryside alone, another day doing some fast laps around the local running track with a friend, another weekend driving somewhere pretty with lots of hills etc.
I'm just worried my enthusiasm will wane before it gets to September. Hopefully the variety will help. ANd the longer days and better weather should work wonders too :-).
It;s really motivating to read your stories and see how far you've all come.0 -
4 miles tonight in 37 mins as usual. Went ok overall and hoping to do the same again tomorrow evening. Then its a few days off as its long commuting days and may attempt the 10 miles again on Sunday if I can eat enough for energy before the afternoon!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550

I'm really happy to say that I managed 30 minutes in the treadmill today
Went slow for my first time back so only 2.7 miles but I'm just really pleased that even after a few weeks off running I got straight back to 30 minutes no trouble
There will be no stopping me now!!!

Me again, a slow plodding 4 mile run with pretty tired and heavy legs tonight. Did it in the usual 37 mins though. Pleased I did it as I very nearly talked myself out of it and now its 3 days off at least so might get out on Sat/Sun or if not will be Mondayfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
