  • Today is my run day however I went out sledging last night and hit a fence  So I have a bruise on the sole of one foot, a swollen ankle on the other and bruises everywhere :o Silly me! Anyway, will have to put off the run today, hoping my bruises will be better tomorrow :) Happy running if you go out folks x

LMH - Ouch and poor you!

I'm having the weekend off running and not going out in this weather and give time for the cold to ease up a bit. Busy next 2 days with plenty of walking so maybe next run is on Wed

LHM - oh dear, better take it easy!

Fedupandskint - probably good idea to have the weekend off running. Hope you kick your cold soon!

No running but had to cycle to the match and back,12miles altogether. Weather here is fine, all snow melted and +5C.

No running for me this week as its too cold and slippy out there for me to risk it. Checked the weather forecast and might go on Sunday and if not start again after a week off on Monday next week

An easy week this week to recoup and recover

You're not keen on running on the treddie then fedupandskint?

I'm debating if I have enough time (and motivation) to train for the Bristol half (September) and if it's the best one for me as I'm usually busier in the summer and not so keen on running when it's too warm...But if I'm going to do one, I want to prepare properly and would want to aim for about 1:50.

What kind of time are you looking for FUAS?

    Hi,

I have just had confirmation that I have been given a place in The Great North Run in September.
It is my first ever half marathon.

I am also doing the The Great Manchester Run (10K) in May.

Only ever done 5Ks and a few 10Ks.
I am very excited and will need to get into a solid routine to train for it, so I will probably be hovering around this forum quite a bit.

I don't have a treadmill, plus not too keen on them these todays. I'm keener to run outdoors :D

    I'm aiming for 2hrs timewise

Looks like snow's on its way tomorrow again, still icy and freezing here so glad I decided to have a week off. If it warms up again by Sunday I'll go out then or Monday - hope so!
