Hello Alias! Nice to see you on here and an old face returning which was before I started running almost a couple of years ago.

Well I decided against going for a run on Sat and took the dog on a nice long walk instead

So after a week off running I went out tonight for a 4 mile run, almost had to drag myself out to get out of the door. However, that week off must have done me the world of good as I ran a sprightly 33 mins which knocked 4 mins off my usual time - get in! Not expecting that to happen every time as I'm sure its only due to having a week off!

Next run is 6miles - hoping for tomorrow

Wow sparkles thats quick!!! Well done x

ETA - another 3 miles in 30 minutes yesterday. Planning on staying at the same pace for the rest of the week then extending the time by 5-10 minutes a week until I am up to 6 miles, then stay there for a few weeks and concentrate on speed.

A 6 miler this afternoon after work in a tremendous time (for me!) of 54 mins.

Made a nice change in the bright sunshine and not so great strong wind but hey - I did it and next run is the long one on Friday!

  • Only 2.5 miles today.....didn't get my run in until 9.30pm and still hadn't had dinner  Busy day today, I'm confident I will be back on track tomorrow though :)

  • Have had to have a re-jiggle of timings for when I can run :o So this morning I was up at just before 7am to fit it in before my day starts however this was tough going and could only manage 16 minutes (1.5 miles). I'm confident I will be able to build on this however I think I may have to get up half an hour earlier and have a banana and a cup of coffee before hand, my legs felt so heavy! I ate a bowl of cereal just before bed to account for the run but obviously this didn't work! I am so busy at the moment and I am so desperate to fit everything in - normally my running is the first thing to go but I really don't want that to happen :( I will keep plugging away in the mornings as I imagine it will probably get easier as I get used to it :p

Well I did it. I ran 11miles in a pretty slow 1hr 53mins and ended with some pretty heavy legs. That's the furthest I've run and the longest time. Went ok overall and hoping to repeat it again next Friday.

Ate a lot today to fuel the run which worked but still felt a little lacking in energy towards the end so the food intake might take a bit of tweaking

Keep on running everyone, it doesn't matter how long for, it's getting out there and doing it that counts!
