yeah, sounds good. Wish I had known about DMPs years ago tbh. My debts are with barclaycard, santander, egg, mbna and marks and spencer. So far Egg have been great and allready agreed to freeze interest and charges so long as I keep my account running with token payments. The woman at Marks and Spencer seemed a bit funny though, asked me how I could afford to pay my mortgage, and then when she heard the kids in the background, she asked how I could afford them ??!! (like Im gonna give em away cos im in debt ??!!) I told her the reason I had gone through cccs was that I didnt want to go through all this with each creditor doh !!!

Sooo glad Ive found this thread xxx cheers xxxx

    Hi Pkezza

Its none of her business how you can afford the mortgage have very rude what a funny thing to say, best not to say too much to them other than you will be receiving payment via CCCS and to speak to them if have any problems, or say contact me in writing if you wish to speak to me.

I have beena advised not to be rude but not to say too much otherwise they presurise you into paying more than you can afford and of course you cant otherwise you wanted be contacting the CCCS.

Barclaycard froze my interest and accepted reduced payment straight away if it helps
not got debts with the others so not sure what they are like.

    Good luck Jackiexxx
  • Well i got a lovely letter from MINT today.. 1st line reads..

    Dear Mr *******************

Do you have any intention of repaying any of your debt to us?

Further down it goes on to say if we dont pay £499 within 7 days they will set off any monies in any other accounts linked to Mint.

Well go ahead Mint because all out money has been moved !

I have replied via letter stating that we intend to repay every penny we owe,, but as i told them in our previous letter we are entering into a DMP with CCCS and to contact them .

Other than that is all gone very quiet here.

Hahahaha! What a cheek though! Mortgage payments (and feeding your kids) are PRIORITY debts. Paying off your M&S account is not. Pity you didn't tell her that you're recording the call. Personally, I would complain, in writing, to M&S, she has absolutely no right to ask how you can afford your kids. For all she knows, they may not be yours anyway.

Omg, can't believe that!! I would definitely write to M&S and complain, what ridiculous comments!

On a lighter side, have now got my roots done, it looks so much better, and was £10 cheaper than I thought, don't know why but I wasn't arguing! ;)

    Hi All

Had a letter from Argos today saying accepted reduced payment but interest will stay at 9.9% and review in 6 months, I thought that they would be ok, and another letter from Aqua requestinf payment of £203.00, dont seem to have taken any notice of any letter from CCCS or me.

Everyone else has been ok just these two creditors oh well keep plodding on

    Hi

And another thing went to garage to pay for petrol yesterday with my santander debit card and they declined it. I knew I had money in my account, but santander had decided that my card had expired the date on the expiry date says 11/10.

So with a big que behind me and being very embarrased had to run to a cash point to get some money out with my new santander card.

Are they allowed to do this my card is in date feel like writing a letter to them I felt such a fool?

Pay him back?? Is he on a different planet to you lol

Maybe you should start asking for payment when you cook his meals, do his washing and ironing , his shopping etc etc.

His attitude really isnt making things any easier for you is it xxx
