    Hi Jackie,

Glad that you have had a good time with your parents and I'm sure that it was lovely just to get away and spend time with them.

Sorry to hear that your OH is still not being supportive but chin up your payment will soon be paid to your creditors and then the phone calls should die down a bit.

I've had a very up and down week but have just had my dmp confirmation from CCCS with amounts that they are sending to CC's:eek: not sure whether they will accept these payments as they are very low compared to what I was paying!! Saying that though if they freeze the interest and charges it still leaves more coming off the balance than was before, so fingers crossed that they accept:o

Hang in there Jackie, you've got this far so you've just got to keep going:)

    Hi everyone

    So story so far

Waiting now for first payment to go out not too many phone calls as yet but have just received my August statement from Aqua who I havnt heard anything from.

They have completley ignored all letters and any correspondance and have now requested that this months minimum payment is £236.00 as apposed to the £30.00 I was originally paying yeah like I am going to pay that.

I have written another letter to them so hopefully they will take notice of that.

    Barclaycard accepted no interest
    Next accepted no interest
Argos accepted still interest on this months bill
    Barclayloan accepted
Barclay o/draft Not accepted think standard letter
    Vanquis Accepted no interest
Aqua Ignored all correspondance just had call from them ignored it

So not all plain sailing at the moment but getting there slowly

    Hi Everyone

Feeling better about everything today, although still have no money as it is the school holidays and have tried to budget but very difficult with a 13 and an eleven year old. Have six pund in my purse to last me until payday on thursday, and my sister has just rung and asked me to go into town with her wish I had said no but said yes, oh well window shopping for me today.

Now waiting for first payment to go out to creditors then hopefully will start feeling the benefit in September when kids go back to school. Havnt had too much hassle as yet which is a surprise now wish I had done this a couple of years ago, but was to scared.

Have a good day everyone Jackiexxxx
  • Hi Jackie

Well done on getting things sorted and its great to hear you're feeling better about things.

Keep positive and you'll start to see things improve :j

The school holidays always make things seem worse. Our kids holiday this year has been a solitary trip to the cinema which we paid for by cutting the food bill back by £5 each week until we had enough to go.

However what this proved to us was that even though we thought we were on a really tight budget there were still ways we could make savings :)

Thanks for sharing your experience and keep posting and let everyone know how you are getting on with things as it would seem so many people are going through the same thing.

    Hi SNV

Its amazing how you learn to find ways of saving money, Ive never been very good at it hence the DMP. But am gradually learning ways to save.

Kids have ben swimming at lot beacuse its free here for under sixteens but after the 4th September the funding has been cut and now have to pay, shame really.

Anyway thanks for your comments much appreciated and will continue to keep posting
it might not always be very interesting but going on here helps me a lot.

    Take care Jackiexxx

Hi Jackie - glad you're OK - like you, just waiting to see on my CCCS statement tomorrow that my first payment has been made to creditors.
Some of them seem to be taking no notice of anything sent to them ie Tesco,Mint, and Citi, and Egg (still all piling on charges and interest)- however, there are no phone calls and maybe they will settle down once they receive their first payment.
Like you also I wish I had done this years ago.

    Best wishes

    Jackie
