Morning Jackie, glad to hear that you are feeling better and I know what you mean about doing this years ago, me too!!
Stay positive Jackie and I'm sure that once you get to September and everybody is getting something back things will start to settle down:)
Take care

Hi Ellie - just sitting still trying to sort out all these direct debits - its very difficult as CardOne dont do direct debits yet - only standing orders and so I'm having to set up direct debits from the business account which will make it difficult to work out what money to put away as savings for future bills - very confusing!
I cant wait till its all sorted out - at least I dont have to play the credit card payments juggling game any more!
OH still having problems getting his head round this not spending business- its as though he thought the problem was just for last month only! I will do the July and August business accounts and then show him how much was/is left after all payments/savings made and then perhaps he will understand.
Best wishes

Morning Jackies, hope that you are well.
Good news that your first payment is going out, hopefully things will settle down a bit for both of you now. Fingers crossed for freezing interest and charges:)
I understand totally re: OH and spending, my OH now thinks that all debt has gone and that we will now have shedloads of cash (I wish!). I've stopped trying to explain and have become quite secretive with the money that I have. I've been putting money away according to my budget but if he thinks its there he will want to use it, so I don't tell him and let him think that we've not got any. I know that this sounds bad but its the only way that I will ever be able to stick to a budget!
Anyway, I'm pleased that things are settling down at your end and I feel as though they are at my end too.
Speak soon

Hi Ellie and good morning
Sam hear I have stopped trying to explain things to my Oh as well he keeps saying oh your be better off now, which I will but going to still have to be careful because I am never going to get myself in this situation again.
Worked out a budget for food each week which will be hard thigs will be easier when kids go back to school.
Glad to hear things are settling down for you as well, glad to hear you have had some replys re reduce payments and inerest freeze.
Having my hair coloured tomorrow which a big expense but I feel so much better when it done and you have to take care of yourself as well or it all goes on the kids.
Hope you get some more replys have a good day Jackiexxxx0 -
Ha, Ha Snap Jackie, I'm having my hair coloured tomorrow too! I use a mobile hairdresser who is very good so her prices are in line with my budget:) I have a huge stripe down the middle of my hair at the moment so need to get it done before I go back to work.

Me three, lol, have a lovely stripe down the middle too! I usually go every 5 weeks, but am having to stretch it out to 8 weeks and omg, the last two weeks I've felt like putting a paper back over my head! :rotfl: Going on Friday and can't wait, mine is about £60, so expensive but I really don't feel old enough to go grey yet! We will all look gorgeous at the same time!

Hi - I'm really lucky in the hair and beauty respect (hence no figures in the budget for it ) as eldest daughter is a qualified, hairdresser/beautician/masseuse/healer and second daughter also a qualified hairdresser so when I can get them to fit me in it is free!
It looks like Mint have now frozen interest on their statement received today and I checked online on my Lloyds statements and my payments from CCCS were received today although not showing on the CCCS site.
Hope you all had good days
