Which have offered a free app which tells you all about your consumer rights in different situations, it's on the i-tunes page. I'm afraid I can't post the link right now as my work blocks our access to the i-tunes site.

kWh - This app has not only saved me money in the long run but has also given me a great deal of peace of mind! The developer is very helpful too, for those of us who are a bit thick (lol) I take a read on same day each month, and always know exactly what I am using in terms of money and kws.

Tesco Finder - For those of you who shop at Tesco, it will find your product and then tell you where it is in your local store.

ARGOS - Yep, they have an app too! So, before you go buying something, a quick look may save you money!

Juvino 0800 - Use this and never pay for 0800 numbers on your mobile again! It just comes out of your bundled minutes.

I don't buy newspapers or Tv Guides - can find all of that within an app too:

    Metro UK - Free newspaper

Findmetv or Tv Guide - Free Tv guides

    Thomson Reuters - Free news

Shopping List - Choose your items before going shopping, stick to the list, save money!

Appminer, Apptizr - Can save you money when looking for apps, with Appminer you can watch apps you are interested in but don't like the price, it will let you know when that app is on sale.

Stanza, Kindle, iBooks - All various apps to find books - more choice less cost.

These are just a few - oh and one last tip, Tesco have an FM Transmitter for just £9.99, this is cheap imho, and you can tune into your car radio using your iPhone ot Touch and hear your music. These I've seen costing 3 or 4 times more!

    Hope this has been helpful!

I hate to keep going on about train apps but I have just found a really good one for android.

It is called Railnavigator. It does have a German slant, but will provide data for all European trains including the UK.

Can people please say, when describing apps, what platform they are for please? It is rather annoying to search for has been described as a really great app, only to then find out that it is not supported on your device.

just wanted to add that the trainhound one is a webapp rather than an app from itunes/android store, so you go to
    http://www.metia.com/labs/trainhound/default.aspx
on your iphone / smart phone and it is a website that is optimised for smartphones (this is why the website looks terrible on a computer!!!)
or just google "trainhound" and its the first result.
Having said it has not been working for me the last couple of days so maybe I shouldn't be recommending it anymore!
