Google Shopper for Android is probably the best of the "money saving" apps.
Load it up and point your phone at a product (DVD, music CD, computer game etc) and it'll scan the item and then compare prices online!
Doesn't get much better, oh wait, it does - it's free :beer:

iCompare by StarMark Solutions
its 59p (I'm sure I got it free!)
I use it every time I'm in the shops, you just pop in the price and quantity of 2 products and it tells you which is the better deal.
The Tesco app,(£FREE) is pretty handy too, you can scan barcodes at home and it tells you where to find it in your local store and you can create shopping lists on there, really good to build your list over the week and then avoid the aisle s you don't need when you do your shop
Auto trader (£FREE) have an app that you can take a photo of a car reg plate and it finds similar cars for sale so handy for a quick compare of a deal.0 -
Highways Agency app - Avoid wasting time and fuel getting stuck in jams. The app allows you to check how the traffic is flowing on motorways and major A roads in England before you begin your journey. The travel information covers unplanned incidents such as accidents and congestion, plus lane closures and other restrictions due to improvement works and access to the HA's regional Traffic Radio audio feed.0

Here's a couple some people might find useful for helping with money:
iXpenseIt - For those of us watching the pennies, this is a great away from home app to keep track of your budget and spend. You set up your monthly budget and the items that are going to come out and then you are able to monitor it on a daily basis and also enter purchases as you go along.
Cost = There is a lite version of this for free, so give it a try first, full version costs £2.99
The O2 app, keeping track of your limits with handy little 'petrol' gauges. It also let's you know when your contract is due for renewal.
Cost = Free
MyGas - User inputting application, finds local petrol stations and let's you know the latest user inputted prices. Also allows the user to update the prices if they are incorrect.
Cost = Free
Subcard = allows the Subway stores to scare the mobile barcode for Subcard points for the eventual free Sub. Also has a locality search for your nearest, so invaluable for the Sub of the Day needs.
Cost = Free, just need to sign up for an Subcard.
eBay - There's a buying and selling app on the App store, I haven't used the selling one yet, but the buying one is handy on the go, as it'll keep an eye and notify you of your watched items. Also includes a search function.
Cost = Free
Paypal - Of course this goes hand in hand with the eBay app and it now allows you to send money through the app and also can see your transactions easily and how much funds you have available.
Cost = Free0
