Just got the letter today which leaves me how long to change? This is disgraceful. So i take it I will be paying at least 25% more for the 6 to 8 weeks it takes to change?
Will get this done today -also don't want a lock in tariff , best cashback site. and preferably not npower.Starting MB- looking for Raf offers.

Just tried to transfer my mum over to E on but website keeps telling me there is no meter at the property.
Spoke to EDF who say they can email the details over to be updated on the national database but can take up to two weeks.
Can sign up over the phone but will lose the £55 cash back from Quidco.0 -
Scottish power looks best for me for savings and single fuel cash back but has a cancellation fee. Going to be EON me thinks. If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0

I also received this very sneaky letter today. I was confused at first as to what it was actually telling me but this thread confirmed what I thought, that I was being given the privilege of my bills going up!!! After checking EDF tariffs and Uswitch I discovered that EDF version 6 would be cheaper for me. I have just called them and switched over to the new tariff and was advised that it will be done as from today and I won't be charged at the standard rates. If prices do go up too much and I feel the need to go elsewhere I will use a cashback site which will hopefully cover the cancellation charges.0 -
I'm getting rather worried about this letter thing. I'm on EDF online V5 or whatever it is, but I've had no letter about changing. Should I ring them and enquire?
I'm in the same position - I wonder now which tariff mentioning V5 I am actually on. I have a note on the calendar to phone them at the end of this month if I have not heard anything by then to check what tariff I am actually on and whether it is the tariff that goes back to standard rates.
I thought I was on the one that was on offer last August that was mooted to be the cheapest at the time, but there are so many similar sounding tariffs with EDF, I am not really sure any more.A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0 -

Be careful of any early termination fees !0 -
Hi everyone. I got the above mentioned letter and rang up to see about the new V6 tariff ,I asked why I hadn't been offered this in the letter and was told it was because of the charges if I came off it before the end of June 2011.Seems like they were just going to put people over without them knowing about the V6, as I only found out about it when I googled about changing.
I have until 31st of July to change onto it and was told that people will be on the standard tariff for a bit until the computer changes people over ( two weeks ) , as it does not start till 1st Aug so we are still on the V5 the day before.
Does anyone know any different?0 -
Are we absolutely certain that Nectar points will continue on the V6 tariff ?0
