Eric, don't beat yourself up too much. Don't you think that's why we are failing when it comes to losing weight? That when we do have a bad week or too many slip ups, we beat ourselves up way too much about it?

Had a bad weekend here, beer crisps, chocolate. I really hate the kids being back at school, cos he likes crisps n wee choccy biscuits in his lunch box (along with fruit ofc). Can't blame that for the beer tho :rotfl:It's just things I would normally not have in the house when he's on holiday and would buy him a packet a day or a sweet a day rather than stocking up for his lunch box. Maybe I'll need to go back to buying them daily.

well whatever you've eaten this week, good or bad, seems hugely insignificant compared to your fantastic achievement of having reached a whoppin' 10 stone loss!

We are all the same, think about things we shouldn't eat and depending on the day or state of mind we're in we fight it for another day or give in.

Sometimes you have to go with the flow.

I have found though that eating a sugar free chewing gum after eating at work (when I'm normally naughty) after eating stops me eating chocolate later in the day. Not sure why that is and I'm not normally a gum person - I'm still sure it's not good for me (Eric can you help on that one) and I don't really like it.

I've also got some nut and dried fruit mixes from Julian Graves to have mid morning and mid afternoon which has also helped because even though I have fruit on my desk - I just can't eat it (ok I know I'm just weird).

Have to try to get cracking on my exercise as I know that will help me so much with losing weight but have so little time. And there's a guy at work who's started a slim fast diet and I can't let him lose loads of weight on that and not me by eating sensibly:rotfl:

I fele the same as you fred. I have a friedn who is doinga ll sorts of crazy diets like slimfast and diet pills etc,a nd I really want to prove to her that you dont need to spend loads of money and eat silly meal replacements to lose weight!!
And i know what you mean about the fruit thing - i have it in the house but just can't eat it sometimes.
I have tried chewing gum and yes it does work, i think the minty taste tells your brain that it's time to stop eating. if you dont like gum perhaps you could just brush your teeth after lunch or have a mint tea???

you said it puddings - eric you should be so proud to have lost 10st to date. that is literally a whole 'nother person who was clinging to you!! :T massive well done for shedding that much :T

considering going for a jog now. thing is i have a lot of work to do and i'm going out tonight so seems like i should be at my desk working, but on the other hand i dont want to use work as an excuse to get flabby!
not sure what to do. might flip a coin!!! :rotfl:

Got a full refund off ebay:j:j I just would not let it lie, I mean how can they award the seller who took my postal order, cashed it, never sent the phone, I have proof of posting, she has not, she refused to answer my emails and never once answered the claim that was opened against her? There has to be some justice and there it is, me, awarded to me, my money back and that is the way it should be:j:j

Victory - I joined the LW thread when you had just reached target back in 2007 - you were so proud of yourself, so elated, and you have done a fine job of keeping it off (unlike some of the rest of us). You CAN shed that relatively small gain (and you know some of it is temporary holiday gain anyway) and you can prove your family wrong with all their whispers (if they do). You will not give in!!! For some of us, you are our inspiration (even if we are quiet about it!).

Thank you:D seems such a long time ago:o such a struggle all the time but yes will get back to it, had a nightmare of dreams last night they were all bunched up, young one had diabetes, me I was morbidly obese with everyone pointing and looking, then I had cancer, then the youngest one went missing because he did not want to eat anymore, then my stomach was massive but I was missing my legs, then the youngest kept crying and gasping for breath, obviously all this weight gain mine and his is playing on my mind a lot:D

    well done kat!

nice one getting your money back victory. ebay is such a good idea but people like that ruin it for everyone.

I think last night was a special night for mad dreams all over the country - was chatting to a friend this morning and we both had awful nightmares last night!! full moon maybe??? or the weather??

hi guys, guess what.. i've lost a lb! :j

I think you were all right the other day, I've had a few extra calories and even had some ben and jerrys last night and for the first time, the scales have dropped lower than the next stone.

had a horrific weekend, been mega stressed and eat loads of chocolate. i had the car mot'd/serviced/new brakes on thursday and to treat myself paid to take it for a car valet..

i wanted it like new. there were three things in the car when i left it and when i returned to the car both the cigarette lighter plastic cover and my alloy wheel lock nut had disappeared. i noticed the cigarette lighter when i got in the car so went straight out to tell the manager, then while he went to look for it i checked the boot where i keep my alloy wheel nut key and it was missing, i totally lost it upset and angry (hormones didn't help at this time) and demanded to speak to the manager of the company.

I've had to drive the car all weekend knowing if anything happens to my tyres i can't get them off. and i need a full set of replacement alloy wheel nuts and a key as i was never given the order code for the key.

The manager has tried to deny responsibility but i have proof and a witness in my mobile mechanic that my wheels were taken off on thursday for new brakes to be fitted.

The manager is coming to inspect the car tomorrow and has insinuated he will pay for me by reimbursing it onto my card so i can get it dones asap, rather than the usual route of providing a cheque.

so cross fingers, its ruined my weekend and given me too many chocolate cravings. :(
