  • You've all inspired me, I went swimming today but I also went for a nice long walk. It was actually fine with the back. I had a rest when I got back but feel good for the extra excercise.

    hi catlover if youre new!

I was in the queue today with my friend (she wanted a sausage roll) and we were standing behind two builders. As they went up they said in a real hardcore northern voice, "hi i can i have a steak and kidney pie please?" Well me and meg were laughing our heads off. Northerners eating a pie, so typical. It really made us chuckle, i instantly thought of this thread.

Pies? Northerners? I dont know what you could posibly mean!

I once won a holiday in a Frey Bentos competition. They'd just launched the chicken curry pie (yeuck!), they dressed me up in just a sort of loin cloth, took some photos and plastered posters of me (supposedly looking like tarzan) all round Blackburn. It was a good holiday but i certainly doubt they would of sold many pies because of it!

Anyway Vix, I hope you and Meg enjoyed the barracuda and rosepetal paninis or whatever it is that you have in the south these days instead of the meat pie ;-)

i had a chicken ceaser sandwhich, ready salted crisps and a apple juice. Megs had the sausage roll. It was a toss up between that or an afternoon tea :p

Hate pies, always have done. Mum likes the bentos whatever pies. I'd eat a pie if the ratio of filling and pastry was the same. It never is so i wont eat one
