Sorry been MIA. Think the fact I have gained a stone has finally hit home this weekend. Managed to avoid most of the junk and actually managed a run this weekend. Am going to nip to the gym in a bit too. Think I may avoid the work dining hall for a little while as the cheese and chips options have become too tempting, the salad rarely appeals and there's only so many baked potatoes anyone can eat in a week.

So do you cope amazingly beanie. And with teenagers thrown it:D

Victory - sounds good getting it down in a non accusatory way. If you give your phone numer, presumeably you are ok about dealing with this on the phone if they choose to ring.(I know I hate being caught on the hop with a difficult phonecall and can't think quickly enough, but then I'm not a phone person).
Hope your bad arthiritis day didn't carry on?

Good to see you Vixstar - avoiding temptation sounds like a plan.

Well done on your loss bindi - if there a recognised point for you where your commitment to the CD fails that you can work towards avoiding. What are the pitfalls for you?

betty - sounds a great idea to avoid weighing in if you know it might be too demoralising. Just get back to plan:T

    Re weighing every day:
I'm one of those lucky people that do tend to weigh myself most days, but it doesn't make me miserable. It either makes me gooder if I have put on,or makes me feel great if I have lost a lb.
It is madness IMHO to weigh more than once a day, as of course you will weigh more as the day progresses - it isn't a true indication of permanaent weight but the weight of liquids and foods currently in your stomach/bladder etc that hasn't been processed yet. It's no indicator of what will stay on permanently.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

hello peeps. Thanks for new thread Fred:D

Re 5lb challenge - looking at the chart from when i had a coupla long stints doing it, the 5lb challenge hasn't disappeared from the chart;that is what the 'lost this month' column is for, it's just we all stopped talking about it and gradually newbies who have joined us wouldn't hve been aware of it specifically.
And that is why we start a new chart every month, becasue it is the start of a new 5lb challenge.
Fred , when I did the chart when someone reached 5lb+ in the month I would highlight that in the chart row with a colour and writeen acknowledgement beneath. Obviously do it any way you fancy that feels right for now.
Anyway - great stuff to revive it and it sound just what some folks here could do with right now:T.

That makes sense BB - thanks for telling me that.

Well after finding my work trousers a little tight today (something to do with the inch I've put back on) I was pleased to find a smallish tunic thing still fits and a size 14 dress is a little on the baggy side - If find that as motivating as the tight stuff. By the way what is people's opinions of leggings under thigh length tunics? (I'm just under 30 if that helps)

Thanks Sary we are eventually moving back to our home in Cockermouth, not for another fornight yet but as we have been away from it for the past 9 months it's not too long left to wait. I am keeping everything crossed that we never see floods like we saw in November again. 5 feet of water through your ground floor is not good. But at least we will feel like we are moving into a new home, we had to strip out all three floors as the damp got into every room, so the refurb has been a complete top to bottom job. Looks good now though!!

Eric, it sounds like you are feeling lots better, glad you are losing again. Means the rest of us have to really keep the fridge door controlled to keep up with you!! Keep it up!

go for it. leggings and tshirt is a no no unless you're still in primary school but with anything longer / thigh length you're fine! Why are we all so worried about age appropriate clothes suddenly?? :rotfl:

    Well done! :T

I went out for dinner again  we saw a show and then went for pizza - went for a healthy option, thin crust, vegetables, no oil/meat. Then frozen yoghurt (fat free!) so I'm glad i've proved to myself that a meal out doesn't mean a blow out of the diet :o
