*sticks hand in the air* I'd like to give the 5lbs a month challenge a go as well. I've got my fingers crossed that I have a loss this week, once I get TOTM out of the way. I tried on some 3/4 length trousers this morning that I had previously thrown into the back of the wardrobe in a huff as I couldn't get them past my thighs, and was able to zip them up, they were almost cutting me in half though :rotfl: so still a way to go. I feel a bit lighter if thats possible than I did last week.
I've been good this week I feel, no bad snacking. We were invited to a bbq today and I loaded up on chicken and salad and cous-cous, ignoring the potato salad and coleslaw and other yummy things. Plus a couple of glasses of wine (for shock I had a nasty spider experience just as we were about to leave the house ) I'm now having a cuppa and trying not to think about chocolate.0 -
Yeh Vix just doesn't seem to have stopped raining here for a few days now, the rest of the month has been nice lol. :T
Just ordered a dress for my best friends wedding in august, here's hoping I can get into it by then!! (At least I can send it back if I don't!!):rotfl:
Trying to pack the house up into boxes ready to move back home, I keep getting distracted with "oooh I had forgotten we had one of those" and looking at photo albums. Hubby is not overly impressed with meI am looking forward to going home though, all sparkly and new, just wish I could be closer to my best friends and my parents. Oh well, might be a good time to make some new friends to add to my looney list! I'll have to do something to keep me out of the fridge
You never know how strong you are until you have no other option.0 -
alliwant~Im plodding on thanks
I have had a really good day today, went to the beach to attempt to surf and managed to get in my wet suit with no assistance from my OH so I think come the end of the season a new suit will be in order :rotfl: Considering in January I couldn't get this suit on and then I broke the zip trying to get out of it I am very pleased
Then I went to meet an Old friend who moved to Aus 3 years ago who didn't recognise me at first and all she kept saying was how wonderful I lookedThat is enough to boost your confidence I can tell you!! It was great to see them if only for a few hours, it is amazing with good friends no time seems to pass and years go by but you just pick up and chat like you only saw each other last week
Now I need to save for a trip to Australia but need to learn to surf properly first. Any how looking forward to seeing my Sister and Mum tomorrow who I haven't seen since April so hopefully they might notice a difference too.
Hope you all have a good start to the week xRestarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

We're pleased Spain won too, because my little lad had got them in the class sweepstake at school, and should get a prize today for having got the winners.
Fellpony - good luck with the moving. When are you off, and where are you going to?
Alliwant - ah what a fab feeling to be getting all those lovely compliments. You've done so well too, so you more than deserve the praise. I have the chance to meet a very old schoolfriend this month, who I've not seen in 30 years! I'd have preferred more than a week or so's notice that she was coming back over to the UK, to be a long-ish car journey away from me, as I could have really used that as impetus to lose, lose, lose. Hey ho, it'll be a short term goal to keep me good for the next week or so at least.
Rain has just arrived here in S. Lincs. My garden more than needs it, and I'm glad I woke up early enough to fetch the washing in that I'd left out overnight. No sodden jeans today thankfully.
Not heard from my son since he left on Friday afternoon. I presume he's living the high life, staying out very late, and doing who knows what? Worrying times, but you have to keep plodding on. My OH asked what I thought about it all, and what was I thinking, and to be honest my mind was a blank. It's not a thought, it's an emotion. My 2nd youngest has his 12+ tests today. He's not exactly looking forward to it, but I'd like him to have the option of choosing a better school if a place is available. He's a bright lad, his 2 older brothers went to the grammar school, and I like the fact that they do push kids to do their best, rather than letting them cruise, which is what is happening where he is now.
Right, gotta take him now. Have a good week guys, and step away from the fridge! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
\o me too for 5lb challenge please! Although I'd like to lose this in a week! (I wish...)0

Hello everyone hope you're all well.
Sary - I can't imagine how you're feeling, but I'm sure he will be fine and come home soon. I can remember being a stroppy teenager and not coming home for days - I think we've all worried our parents like that at one point or another.
fellpony- I am going to a wedding in the winter and am so excited about getting a lovely dress to wear - it's my incentive at the moment coz a lot of old friends will be there and I want to look amazing (like you alliwant!)
Had an interesting weekend - diet went kinda ok during the day but in the evenings went very awry - pizza on friday and fish and chips on sunday! sat wasn't to bad food-wise but we went out that night and although i spend most of the evening on soft drinks i did have one pint of lager.
So this week I am making an executive decision (hehe) to not weigh in - I just dont think it'll do my morale any good as i'm too early on in SW to be able to get away with such a bad weekend. seeing a gain will make me self destruct so I think the solution is to spend the next week and a bit sticking to the SW plan properly then see where I am next Weds
(so fredsnail please just put me down as sts or hide me from the chart that week, thanks hun)
Still determined to lose the 5 lb this month at least. and hopefully more.
Went looking for a new house at the weekend - V exciting but it's going to be a long process which is rubbish coz i am SO impatient!!

Welcome to a new week everyone!!
I nearly made a serious mistake this morning when contemplating what to have for brekkie. The canteen here at the office has a variety of cereals on display and I was going to have Special K for a change from my usual porridge or bacon & poached egg; paused to look it up online and Special K is totally synful on EE - like minimum 4.5 syns, even the "less than 2% fat" variety is 5 syns :eek::eek::eek:. There must be so much processed rubbish in it. Went for plain old muesli with skimmed milk in the end (which I've never had before, usually have it as a topping for yoghurt) and with a sliced banana on top it was delish!
Just goes to show how we are conned by the diet industry. Has anyone ever tried their drop-a-jeans-size-2-week challenge? Years ago I started on it but got completely bored within a week and gave it up!£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest, I see bigger gains on 1200/day than on 1700/day. I no longer go below 1500/day (average), my pattern of results shows that there's absolutely no point reducing further than this!
Relieved you've had a better result this week anyway Eric!0
