It shouldn't be - just a case of people opting in and an extra column on the chart with a formula in.

Ok if anyone wants to sign up to 5lb for this month (I'll take into account any losses so far this month) post below and I'll sort the chart out and we'll see how it goes.

sign me up for the 5lb July challenge Fred.

week 1 weigh in on Monday. I'm glad I'm at work this weekend as it will keep me occupied and my mind off food. This week in general, has been good so far and I've not had any slip ups. First wedding on 25th but I have a party to go to next Saturday so bit nervous bout that but will keep glugging plenty of water.

Afternoon all, and happy new thread!

Eric - glad you're of the bb's and glad you're feeling the benefits already.

Victory - your workplace is a joke. I also feel that you could have a good case for constructive dismissal. The manager doesn't manage, but !!!!!foots around the old crones who have been there for so long, they feel totally secure in their hypocrisy and bullying.

fellpony - what sad news for your friend and her daughter. I do hope her treatment is successful, and without too much trauma. If you think your friend's daughter (and any siblings also) would benefit from some cheering post to arrive, why not consider getting them to register with postpals.co.uk It's run by a girl who's crippled with ME, and Fern Cotton is their ambassador. Have a look at their site, and maybe get your friend to register. I'm friends with them on facebook too, and they put out alerts for children who are in need of cheering up. The feedback from the children and their parents is great, and it puts a smile on their faces, and siblings don't feel left out either. I hope you're feeling a bit better about things too.

Good to see you back efrieze and Bindi.

Fred, thanks so much for the wise words with the chart. I can't imagine a member of this thread wasn't nodding in agreement reading it. I'd like to join in with the challenge next month, but too late for me this month I fear!

Well I've been busy decorating, although I got side-tracked by the bathroom, and still not begun the hall/stairs/landing. It's possibly the 30* heat and prospect of having to use a steam paper stripper that's making me avoid it at the mo.

Life has grabbed me by the scruff of the neck yet again. My 16 y/o has left home yet again, and I feel like my emotions have been hijacked once again. I do at least have an idea of where he is, and he told me he was going this time. I have to stand back and just let him get on with it I think. It's hard to do, but he seems to think he's got life sussed, and knows exactly what he has to do. You can't argue with him, because he's convinced he's right. I just have to hope and pray he stays safe, and well. As a long time comfort eater, it's not ideal, but as has already been said, coming here at least helps me STS, or have small gains, rather than going OTT.

Hoping everyone has a good weekend.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Oooh please count me in for the 5lb a month challenge Fredsnail, might help me keep more motivated. Doing ok so far this week, keeping away from the snacks and trying to keep active. Spent 4 hours cleaning harness for the show tomorrow raised quite a sweat polishing the leather to a high sheen.
Fingers crossed the weather holds for us tomorrow, I don't fancy getting wet to the skin!

    Me too!!

I started the Dukan diet 5 weeks ago and have lost 27lb so far. (Its a low-carb, low-fat type diet). I'm just over a third of the way to target and need a new wardrobe already!

I am not doing any serious exercising yet as I feel that ATM it's only dropping off because I am so big, so I intend to wait until it slows down considerably in a month or two. I do lots of toning ones though and there is a heck of a difference already and I also walk more than before.

    Subscribing to thread now.....
