Morning,
Nice to see you feeling better Eric.
I'm feeling good today, already 2lb down on Weds weigh-in so this has spurred me on to behave this weekend and next week for my hol next Sun. BUT - I have to get through the weekend yet, lol. I hate the bathroom scales - I weigh myself everytime I go in! Lol.0 -

Yes I have the same complusion! I remember reading years ago that if you weigh yourself every day and dont see a result then it can affect your mood for the whole day (and there's lots of reasons why your weight can fluctuate during the week) so my rational brain says "dont do it" while my compulsive side says "did I magically lose a stone overnight?" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Good q!For me whenever I'm struggling to stay at my maintenance weight, I remind myself how much I've achieved since losing weight and all the things I do now that I didn't do before.
My son is very sporty (and also naturally athletic, which I'm not!) and if I hadn't got fit I'd probably just be watching him from the sidelines by now, instead of being able to join in with him out & about on lots of things!
In the years to come I won't remember being fed up about 2kg of extra weight, but I know I'll enjoy looking back at what we've done.
Not sure if that's the sort of thing you meant Seren?0 -

I'm going to make a SW chicken kiev recipe for dinner tomorrow and it needs Nimble wholewheat bread to make the breadcrumbs, so I decided to have a couple of toasted slices for brekkie - and they were gone in a couple of bites  What's more, with spread and jam 've already used up 7.5 syns and I'm still hungry:mad:. Good job there's plenty of fruit in the house or else today could be another bad day.
yeh it is teeny tiny! It toasts really badly too, cos it's so thin it ends up like a cracker! Warburton's healthy wholewheat 400g is the same. I'd rather have a wholewheat roll as my heb at the mo as it's at least a bit thicker and 'meatier'Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
Why Put Off Until Tomorrow What You Can Do Today? :A0 -
Lol, your right. I can vary by half a stone in a day! And I'm sure I havent eaten that much! It's odd. Although I do only record my count once a week on a Weds morning to keep it the same.0

It is indeed :-)
Anything that helps avoid the "I'm feeling extra blobby today" feeling........this morning I was slightly obsessing on the train in about popping into greggs on the way to work...dunno why....very rarely get anything from there.....
Don't know why I think food will cheer me up - very random logic! back to normal now so glad I resisted...Off to a graduation buffet in a mo...one of the first classes I taught properly is graduating...which is nice as I don't lecture much these days.0 -

In the interests of surviving wobbles....which many of us have....what helps people through??
During my major wobble this morning it was the sight of the bright pink nail varnish on my toes that I bought myself last week when I lost 2.5lbs.....It helped remind me that last week was good...and that I'm gonna REALLY enjoy clothes shopping when my thighs are slimmer :-p
what works for others?
what keeps me going were those "truth" photos of myself last Sunday... I was waiting for the kick in the teeth moment to make me do something about my weight.. I am at my all time heaviest atm. So heres to being slightly slimmer when I hit 40.
On a more positive note, we have a new uniform at work and the bottom button of the blouse was pulling when I tried it on last week and this week fits fine. Heres to having to reorder a smaller size soon, lol.0 -
I dont know if I am already signed up (what with already being on the chart) but I am definately up for the 5lb challenge for July! Bring it on.
The 5lb challenge was I think a separate challenge each month - I do vaguely remember it - but it fizzled out soon after I joined. I have been thinking about restarting it if anyone would be interested.
I was thinking that you can be on the chart anyway - but if anyone wanted to sign up for the 5lb challenge each month as well I can also record that on the chart in new column and tell you how much you have left to reach 5lb each week.
It's pouring with rain here today but not much cooler.0 -
Would actually be quite nice to reserrect the 5 lb challange but only if it wasent a lot of extra work.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
