Pleased to report still no chocolate, although to counteract that I haven't exercised for a couple of days and had a major drinking session last night. I don't think I'll be drinking again untill my friend's wedding at the end of Aug.

Thanks for all your kind messages today :-)
and the small bun ended up being a blueberry muffin, which isnt too bad compared to other years!
I made some of those fruit flowers this afternoon, like they had on big brother last year and then mounted the birthday muffin on the top for a bit of sparkle!

    Happy birthday Puddings!!!!!

Beanie: Sorry to hear about your sons grades, but if he wants to progress his GCSE grades will be a distant memory in the end. I did average and managed a degree.

I was in London today to get the results of my biopsy. Its a benign tumour that they are going to operate on in the next 18 weeks, sooner rather than later he said. 3 weeks off work though!!!! Hopefully it wont happen over my birthday..... Although the bad news is that it might come back, they cant fix my toe and the bump may never go down. So really its all !!!!! On the plus side if i was in a developing country i would have probably been unable to walk by now so i suppose i just gotta take it on the chin.

I spent £85 on make up to mark the occasion, and it was lovely to spend time with my mum. She was knackered in the end! Oxford street was a nightmare

Glad it's good news, Vix. It doesn't sound too dreadful. Most people have got the odd bump on their feet and I'm sure no one will notice yours. And who looks at anyone's feet anyway? (Unless you're with a chiropodist/ reflexologist/ toe sucker). I'm guessing that it doesn't stop you getting around /dancing/ wearing shoes ?

I hope that doesn't sound unsympathetic - you must have been really worried when you didn't know what it was. xx from Granny

    Morning.

puddings your cake/fruit flowers combo looks fab! I hope your visitors were suitably impressed too.

Vix sorry to hear about your foot, glad it's nothing too serious though. Can't belive you had to go to the docs and oxford street - double pain! ;) Seriously though I hope all goes well.

Made a lovely curry last night, chicken, veg, tomato / rogan josh sauce, healthy living naan - not very SW but still better than the taskeaway option!

  • Hi Everyone,
Technical Question for anybody in the know.
I used the weighing machine at Boots, the one that prints your weight, bmi etc, and the printout was a bit far fetched.
According to them I lost 7lb in about six days.
I could'nt check it against anything else as my own weighing machine makes it up as it goes along.
Anybody know of an accurate home set of scales

Hi Frank - is this the first time you've used that machine? what are you comparing it to? You should compare like for like i.e. use same machine, same day of the week, same time of day to get an accurate result. Of course it is feasible that you have lost that much weight in 6 days! if so, well done you!! :D
