and my jokes...yes is probably a defence thing (laugh or cry situation maybe) but am a lot more open on here than in real life, dont really get embarrassed about anything on here.
As for getting to a size where i dont go out of the house, well i live on my own (lodgers and dog excepted) so therefore have no choice but to go out!
I like your sense of humor Puddings :rotfl: your picture of the path made me giggle a lot........ I know how you feel, that was how I felt when I started in January. But small steps make a difference, I know I am now 7 months and over 60lb lighter, So keep up your good work I am looking forward to seeing you succeed tooEric_Pisch wrote: »oh yeah
heres one of my evening meals, complete with 450g of actifry wedges and 250g of roo steakthats a large dinner plate, 900 cals the lot, if i eat less i go into starvation mode and stop loosing weight ...
Damn that looks good to me but far too much of my daily caloric value. I am still enjoying my actify butternut squash, Not so caloric as potato and more tasty too. Also did sweet potato the other night that was nice as well
I hope SWMBO likes you in you smaller shirts.
I have been enjoying a little sale shopping to buy some new clothes in shop's I couldn't fit in their stuff before, have to be honest and say it feels strange. But there are bargains to be had I must say£8 for a pair of linen work trousers that fit like they were made for me I am well chuffed
(little things I suppose)
Hope you all have a good weekend xRestarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed
Need to loose 25lb / 3lb lost so far0 -
That looks loads to me eric!!!!! i'll scrap the 128 hr then. It was harder work than going for it.
Scary: It came across a bit like you were talking to me like a child thats all. I know that ireland isnt full of chavs, i know the north isnt grotty (ish), but when i say these things i say them as a generalisation. Its kinda worrying to think people think i think that. I forget im not talking to people of my own age i suppose.
i know it is, but its mostly steamed veg, i really should split my meals up into 5 a day but work just makes it too hard
kangaroo is great as well as its 1 cal per 1 gram0 -
if you dont mind me asking Eric, if youre on 900 cals for your evening meal, what size/frequency of meals do you eat the rest of the day and is this the same food routine that you had when you were shaped more like me?

on cardio days i eat 3 meals, avg 1800-2000 cals, on resistance training days (i do 3 of each a week, 1 rest day) i eat 2100-2300 cals as i have 4 oatibix in a protein shake at 6am about 90 mins before i start training
im hitting my weight loss target of 3lb a week and putting on alot of muscle as well, honestly im shocked at how much i am gaining, go go increased BMR
i would go out to shop (unless i could get it online) and work but nothing else, and never socially
Im probably one of the few people here who know what you are going through so if you ever want to chat send me a PMYou can do it, it does not have to be painful, you dont have to be hungry, you do have to give up crap processed foods and get moving

I am a big guy, I mean apart from being fatter than the hindenburg, and i know fat people always say "i am big boned" etc, but i really am pretty big, 6' 2", over 8" wrists with 3mm on a skinfold calliper, i have 21" calfs with about 10mm on a skin fold calliper, 29" thighs with 45mm, my thighs when lean added together will be about 48" which is what 14" bigger than a normal sized blokes waist. Im certainly of the scale on the BMI charts, my goal weight will defiantly be in the "obese" range .
so i get to eat a little bit more
still got a very loooooong way to go thou, slow and steady
another 6 months of weight training should bulk me up some more as well.
SWMBO is looking forward to not having to iron bed sheets i mean shirts every week that is for sure lol, ahh sweet potato wedges are my fav0 -
My sister just cooked the Slimming World One Pot Meal. Supposed to be designed for ppl who can't be 4rsed cooking. Tinned stew, tinned mushrooms, tinned tatties, tinned carrots etc all thrown in one pot and heated up gently. I must say, when she mentioned cooking it for us, I was thinking "Ewwww how gross?!?!?!" but it was rather tasty and very filling.
problem with that is most of the tinned stuff has a tonne of salt, and salt makes you retain water like crazy
i dont eat anything with salt in apart from whole foods, when i do eat something with salt i put on 2-3lbs instantly ...0 -
Eric, I put a ton of salt on everything anyway. I know it's not good for me but my blood pressure is always a little on the low side, so can get away with it. Haven't had any problems retaining water tbh. Maybe that's because I'm always active or because the amount of coffee i drink keeps me running to the loo all day
I was actually surprised at how nice it tasted. Not something I would ever have thought of buying, tinned stew especially.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
puddings, it's really great to have you on board: I reckon eric will know exactly how you feel. And he has been a fab asset to us since he joined us here earlier in the year too.
Mazza- I think you and I may have the same stats. Reckon I'm the same height as you as my top BMI level is 11.01 stone too. And currently 12 st 3.
I'm not one to set goals, but I know I would love to lose a stone. It's a question of whether i can sustain the energy and focus to improve my eating habits that have become lazy.
I'm busy writing out a shopping list (still) favouring SW meals etc. Will probably do a @sd@ run laters. Have just told OH am getting back on the SW waggon ,and his response was , oh good, can I join you', so that's good.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
