well sary, soup is almost all low calorie and muller yogurts are ridiculously cheap in asda, so look on the bright side :-)

my stereotypes of the south are that houses are overpriced; there's no hollands pies, warburtons bread, morrisons supermarkets or decent football teams; the tap water tastes funny and the m25 is a carpark!

Still offering to pass on my throat infection to any would-be weightloss enthusiasts, as it's making eating nigh on impossible. Have so far managed a bowl of soup, a muller yogurt, tiny portion of spaghetti and some strawberries/banana & cream. Sucked on a few throat sweets, and no bloke has come along to kiss my throat better... demanding a refund from Sainsburys tomorrow methinks.

I had this last week I gargled Corsadyl (sp?) once just before bed and it had gone by the next morning :j:j (throat was burning when I first woke up though :rotfl::rotfl:) xxx

Sary a good gargle with salt water usually helps, old style but does work. Even if u can't stomach it,it makes u gag and gets rid of a lot of crap off your throat.

Let myself down today at work by sleeping in and not having breakfast, had a bag of crisps instead. Been good otherwise. Tried to make up for the crisps by doing my duty at a brisker pace than usual

Puddings, that sounds so like my gp's practice. Drives me bonkers!!!

Spoke to a friend I haven't seen in a while today. She's lost 7 st on sw plan in the past year and a half  Looks absolutely brilliant and only has just over a stone to lose.

Am trying to avoid my beloved toast n lurpak lately, just to give me a bit of a kick start to get ready for next month's challenge. Although I do have a weekend away in Edinburgh planned at the beginning of the month, but I intend to behave myself :rotfl:Well that's the plan anyhoo :rotfl:

Thanks missy, Im still playing around with my heart rate at the gym. I managed to keep to the fat burn zone of 128bpm but as soon as i got on the cross trainer i went up to 156 roughly, and however slow i went i couldnt get it back to 128! Im trying to mix it up anyway to do a bit of both, but still, its quite an art to get your HR to stay the same! It also means when im on the treadmill i have to always grip the HR handles and that doesnt feel as good. Plus keeping to a HR of 128 makes it feel like im not doing anything.

the fat burning zone is a bit of a myth, the harder you work the more energy you use, the longer you work the more energy you use

if you can exercise for 30 mins at 150bpm and at 128bpm and its comfortable go for 150bpm, if you can do some interval type training it becomes even more efficient

Managed to get to the gym for a run this morning, was much easier to do than I thought, although could do with getting there a bit earlier next week.

Well done on your loss lauraland!

I finally got round to doing a tesco shop last night as dinner used up the last tiny trickles of food remaining in the fridge! i get tesco online cos we don't have a car.
Remembered to buy Sw-friendly stuff but then totally forgot to buy my SW-friendly Warburtons (yes, in the south!!!;)) bread! So looks like i'll have to pop into the local branch anyway!

Being a southern/essex lass with a hint of Londoner, I dont know much about 'up north' - I've been to Bristol and Wales and Scotland, that's about it!! Thoroughly believe it's Barth like the Queen says and not bahth like they say on Big Brother! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

well done Sary for 'but can trying'. It was more than I could face:o
Sorry not to have been around this last week. The sultry weather leaves me very listless in between another round of decluttering and sawing/putting up shelves for books.

Welcome to all the newbies - apologies not to mention you all individually, but we are a very friendly forum: just join in.

victory - hope you have a good 3 week break and the 'you've put on a ounce' brigade tone it down a bit:D. Hope your insulin numbers don't go too mental:(

Well I am starting SW again today: bought the latest mag on a train trip this week and have written a shopping list as per their 7 day plan and going for it. I suspect i won't talk about it much - haven't the energy and also just need to do it. Fortunately m, very confident in SW methods.
Fred - could you zero me on the chart please. Thanks
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
