Oh sary I am so pleased for you, really I am, playing in his band and having a part time job will be very good for him, he will be able to see there is a purpose, excellent, I am chuffed to bits it was not dragged out:D

Thanks re boss:D it is a case now of never surrender:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: they seemed to have wanted to 'mark my cards' and they have their way, so now I am considered the villain of our happy ship that won't conform and is constantly being told off and taken boss away from his 'important work' the heat is on me that is for sure but hey my mind says 2 saturdays away I am up and away on a plane to sunny Spain, so that keeps me happy:D

sary - that's fantastic, they all come around in the end dont they? (remember victory's son doing the same? and look where he is now!) :D A short, sharp dose of real life away from home seems to do the trick every time.

victory - you are a better man than me Gungadin! How you haven't given that man a slap by now is beyond me.

Yes hezza is right sary if it is any consolation my son is now the son you would want to have, no trouble, laughing, integrated in the family, joins in, plays with youngest, goes to work 3 days a week, gets up at 5.30am to start work at 6.30am banana packing for 9 hours, he now has his own money to spend ridiculous money on nike trainers:rotfl::rotfl:

He did tell me after it all settled that he missed me cleaning his room, keeping an eye on him, telling him I love him, having dinner together, just being in with the family rather than an outsider, all kids want to be loved however tough and macho their alter ego chooses to be they are all big softies that want to be part of a family that loves them:D

sary you are providing that for your son and he can see that, even begrudgenly(sp) he knows that he wants that, he knows what you give him makes him happier, he can think better, work better, be better person with his family, his mum behind him, he know it.:D

I don't doubt for one second that in the future of our sons there will not be another problem rearing it's ugly head but my son has had a hard lesson thrown at him, he did not like it as yours doesn't, they don't want to back down, they want to rule the world and to hell with everyone else, they know better, they were born with every conceivable life skill and we know nothing, the lessons are hard but they have to be taught.:D

    Happy Friday everyone!

Sary so pleased to hear your son is home :) perhaps playing with the band could become exempt from the grounding since it'sa constructive use of his time and will probably help his morale, like the man said.

It says when I googled it that the strada are very high in cals because of the rich sauces they put on it and have been slated for making the meals fat laden and are helping the obesity epidemic we have in this country so they introduced some leaner meals like as you say the fish, the pizzas and pastas would not touch them, they are massively calorific:D

Well the leaner meal of fish and potatoes was nice but completely slathered in oil and butter (and wasn't filleted properly so i got a throat full of bones at one point!:( ) I am beginning to think that the mid-range eateries are just as to blame as the cheapo macdonald's and such for our fat society. But it was nice to be out nevertheless and it was a nice change as I never cook fish really so I like to have it out.
Ok so just had a quick catch up ...... damn you guys can type a lot sometimes :p

BettyB - how is the frozen yogurt? It sounds lovely

It was nice thx but then I left it in the freezer too long! oops!:o
But I'm sure it'll still be good when I get it out for a little defrost before finishing it off this eveining! The tsp of splenda made it extra nice as it took away the sharpness of the yog/berries.

    Kayaking sounds fun!!
victory - if you could just give us the address of this !!!!! chemist, we'll do a mass visit and put him straight on a few fundamentals. He is serious getting on my !!!!

    :o

Haha imagine that we find out where she works and all just turn up and scare him! :rotfl:

Seriously I am the same as the others it's not the kind of situation where i'd be able to keep my mouth shut. I am far too stubbon to keep my head down and out of trouble but I admire people who can.

So tired today I dont know if I'm going to be able to stop myself grazing. Am having a Green SW day coz we dont have any meat so that will mean I get 1 portion extra cheese and bread (or a bowl of cereal later on)so hopefully that will certainly help me stop my cravings.

hezza no slapping my OH wants to but I am taking the higher level:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I did come back from the shift with a massive head ache and it did make me laugh afterwards that the supervisor could not look me in the eye whilst we had 'our chat' in the middle was the boss and a long way off was the supervisor with me at the other end, bosses idea no doubt, she was fussing over getting a glass of water and fussing over drinking it a sign of nervousness or guilt and I thought 'aha see you are a fibber or can't cope and you know you are wrong':D

To cover herself I have to do the monthly test tomorrow (see, mid month this time not on the very last day) and to cover me everytime I have time off I have to leave a note, tell at least 2 people including the supervisor:rotfl:now that is ridiculous it is on the board:rotfl:oh and never write my dates on the board ever again oh and if I have anymore probs threatened with the first in first out again:D

I have 6 more shift to Spain and all of them are with my fav colleague and not one with supervisor so I am clear for take off, done, like I say to my son when he moans about banana packing, think of the money, think of the lovely time you will have in Spain with it, how you can buy your Nike trainers (£55 I mean that is madness:eek:) and just think happy thoughts.

I do feel a little bit sorry for him because for the 9 hours apart from a 15 min break he has to stand and pack and cannot talk to anyone because none of them speak English as they are all immigrants, not sorry enough to say 'hey pack it in and I will fund you the money for your hols, oh no def not:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Alliwant you're a star! :j Told you I'd be proud! That sounds brill, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I didn't see a price on that link you gave but I'm sure you could justify the money if you'll get the use from them, and they'd last years & years I expect.

I'm sorry to read about all the tough times and problems going on at the moment :(. Hope things get better for everyone.

It's all the same as usual here, exercise is going well (closing in on a few more of the distance targets in my sig now). Weigh in will be next week and I'm expecting yet another small gain... lol. I'm counting on some weight coming off after my exercise cutback month, which is what's happened in the last two years so I can be hopeful I think :).

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
