  • Hi everyone I am reporting another 1lb loss for me this week thanks Fred

I have been away again and it has taken over an hour to catch up on the pages......

To everyone in the MSE Biggest Loser comp I applaud you for your honesty and I wish you all the best of luck. I would love to join in but I have lots of stuff out of my control going on in my life right now and loosing weight is not going to be high on my priority list.

I am sorry if I also go a little quiet over the next few weeks but I will try to keep up and see how your are all doing.

    Just keep plodding everyone :)

Vix, I'm not sure about microwaving them whole, but I do know that you can peel/chop them up, and microwave them with a small amount of water, covered. You can use them warm or cold. Lovely with porridge, in rice pudding (low fat of course) with a sprinkle of cinnamon, or I like to have them with natural yogurt, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a sprinkle of granola cereal. You can also freeze them, chopped up, I par-boil them beforehand, drain them well, then place in freezer bags. They keep for ages. HTH!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Sary That does help, especialy the cook and freeze bit, thanks.
  • Beanielou - enjoy your course, but don't pull out!!!

Maybe the relaxation will help your weightloss! Don't think about it too much, french cuisine can be healthy, just make the right choices.

So my start weight for the north/south challenge is 10st 9lb :eek: (149lb) which is am NOT happy with (especially as i am only about 5ft2 and so right now i look like a rugby ball with arms and legs sticking out), but more incentive to lose some extra lbs i suppose.

Were twins! Im the same weight. Technically im 5'2.5, but i always round that up ha!

I have decided for xmas everyone is getting a choc orange £1 from Asda, I have covered it in red paper, a few strands of gold , then put cellophane around it, tied it with a big bow and personalizing with a home made tag with name on, I had all the accesories from every xmas so effectively a xmas present to someone is costing me £1, I did the gold thread last year, this year simpler, that and hampers love them, seen as if I am still there at work there are 9 of us (well more but I don't work with the others) that is a princely sum of £9, done:D

Ew! I hate chocolate organges! Good idea for a stocking filler though. God knows what people in my house hold will get this year!

I hate choc orange also, sickly sweet might as well put straight sugar into your mouth that is exactly why I bought them for £1 and made them look fancy, cheap, everyone happy:D

Thought i'd make a little sig change!

FREDRICO: Starting weight: 10 Stone 9lbs

Im finding times a bit hard at the mo, blocking out feelings and pretending its all ok isnt working so well anymore :( I feel like i need a holiday away from everything to cry, be miserable and be away from people. Very unlike me!

I wish i had read all the northern/southern banter before i got the urge to eat my glaxay ripple. Still, might go to the gym tomorrow morn!

Seeing as were a bit northy/southy i thought id do some reaserch for 30 seconds. Came across this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/09_10_06_obesity.pdf quite interesting. I for one buck the trend in the south east! Although south east is a bit of a joke, south east is kent and thats it, everything else loses that title.
