I wonder how much more humiliating arthritis can make me? I have been in 100% pain for the last couple of days with it but today I got stuck with the pain in the bathroom and I know family are trying to be helpful and get me up but can't let them pull me off the loo can I now?:rotfl::rotfl::D

Anyway, only took me 20 minutes:rotfl::D

Where is that nurse with my weekly injections?

You should send Vix a link to that funny video you did (for the competition) last year... that was cool

Well im a hardcore pear. I can depending on what it is get into size 10 tops. But id well be a 14 on the bottom half. I would paste a pic of me to see me in my glory but i dont have many full body ones. My thighs are huge!! im 24, youre similar arent you?

Yeah I'm 24 as well (on the wrong side of it though, nearly 25!!)
I'm generally a 14 coz I am large up top as well as having big hips and thighs - I do have a proper waist though which is my only good feature! sometimes I can get a 12 but I hate having to sqeeze into things in a changing rooms and seeing the dreaded muffin top!

Victory - that's not good, but I totally understand having to sort yourself out. I was the same when I had a bad back a few years back. It went on for weeks, but I used to dread trying to go to the loo. I'd get stuck in all manner of places.

Vixstar - I'm glad the apples worked out OK. I have an apple tree, and hate to see them go to waste, but our's are a bit too sharp to have juiced (the boys tried it this w/end and threw it away). They do make lovely cooked apples though.... it's just resisting making them into a crumble, but I'm sure Rosemary Connelly has a low fat, healthy, oaty recipe version I could do. *note to self: google that*

    - I get these: http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp?bmUID=1285229680421 and they are on 3 for 2 at the mo, 1000mg is the doseage I take (as I bought the 500mg ones before, and the doseage is 2 a day anyway). £4 for 90 capsules is 3 months' supply. I also take these: http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp Which are great value at £1.54 for 30 x 1000mg capsules. The branded version are between £7-8!! for a month supply.

I take on board the warnings about Graze, and I will let you know how I get on. I'm going to be sharing mine with my OH too, as he's a healthy eating boffin anyway. I'm fairly good at making deals with myself mentally, so will tell myself that I can only have one section for a snack, and work it into my daily allowance. I've bought some of those Belvita breakfast biscuits, which are low GI, and are handy for a snack, or breakfast on the run, at just over 200cals per mini-pack, one of those and a banana would be ideal to keep you going. I had a packet of them yesterday morning, when we went out for the morning early. I struggle to eat early, and have to have a couple of cups of tea before I do, so they were ideal when out and about. Half price in the Co-Op at the moment too, even better!

Thanks for the chart Fred, you do such a great job of it. :D

I've been looking into Zumba classes in my area, but none in my town. Has anyone been to one before? Are they good fun, as well as a good workout, like they advertise? I'd like to be sure, before I commit to driving to another town to go to one. I definitely need to look into doing some exercise, as well as watching the food intake. I am sticking with my new smaller plate I bought from John Lewis, that looks so lovely I want to use it. I had a smaller evening meal yesterday, and actually felt happy that I was a bit hungry as I went off to bed. I know now that cutting food out completely, is pretty counter-productive, unless I have a genuine desire to not eat it. So, I can easily do no sweets/chocs for Lent, but my September version has failed miserably! However, I can 'choose' not to eat things fairly well. So, I've chosen not to eat any cake this week, despite it being in the house. Isn't it odd how our minds work sometimes?

    Hi Beanielou

I put my weight in my signature to constantly shame me into doing something about it. If its always in my face (and legs and bum and tum etc:rotfl:) I cannot ignore it.

wow! SOTW, theres a first for everything and it will spur me on now to try to achieve that again, still cant really excercise though as even walking up the stairs or talking can make me short of breath at the moment. I have to religiously take my peak flows and take my inhalers twice a day and then have my salbutamol in my pocket incase i need it between, but i have got my chest clinic appointment in 4 weeks time so will hopefully get some more news.

I did one of these a little while ago Sary. I was absolutely rubbish at doing the steps, but I still put a lot of effort into it which is the main thing. I had my HR monitor on and it was an average 66% workout for me (zone 2). For me that's approx a 287 calorie burn in an hour (but my calorie burns are miniscule so most people would burn more than that).

I think anyone who enjoys working out in a class & can get a bit of a latin-type vibe going on & really let go would enjoy Zumba! :D

    Hope that helps a bit?
