  • granny - do you want me to send you my delicious green smoothie recipe that I drink a ltr of every day: that has 10 veg in it. brilliant & tasty way to up your veg count.

Did the chiro not explain his reasoning behind the gluten/sugar elim?

Part of the reason behind my current regime is to calm any internal imflamation as well as up quality if nutrients.

Will have fun watching you all do the north south cahllenge. I will cheer for which ever sid eis winning that week:D

On a technical note, as a southerner, I would add that calling people 'northern' cuts off at the scottish border: you are then scottish. Totally differnt species, as are the Welsh of course:D

Like granny - I am concentrating on a specific health diet at the mo and can't complicate it by trying to lose weight too: got enough restrictions as it is, though I do confess I am really enjoying what I am eating.

A sts for me this week (as last week and fortgot to post)

Sorry you feeling down mazza - is it the work situation?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

puds I thought of you the other day with the CCTV cameras going around the supermarket so instead of picking it up and putting it down somewhere else and it talking to me I saw another person tapping their side of trolley, so I did that too, I must admit the tapping was becoming very loud and annoying the closer I got to the danger aisles but it worked and I did not put one thing in my trolley that should not be there:D

I have decided for xmas everyone is getting a choc orange £1 from Asda, I have covered it in red paper, a few strands of gold , then put cellophane around it, tied it with a big bow and personalizing with a home made tag with name on, I had all the accesories from every xmas so effectively a xmas present to someone is costing me £1, I did the gold thread last year, this year simpler, that and hampers love them, seen as if I am still there at work there are 9 of us (well more but I don't work with the others) that is a princely sum of £9, done:D

Going to start buying of amazon lego and stuff now and have bought a few bits from Aldi food wise, have a cupboard OH has put a lock on it, deterrent for kids and myself, so should get to xmas and it is still there:rotfl::rotfl::D

Every xmas I do a theme and stick to it, pot plants, wallets for the men (75% off boots sale) posh bath stuff for the ladies, sale also, keep it all year and either give it out as xmas presents or birthdays, I have done macrame gifts, hampers, the gold pots, scented candles, soaps, personalized photos albums and frames, every year I have done something and if you ask them the ones they like the best is the HM jams, chutneys, alcohol, fudges, choc brownies all that is so easy to make but for a £1 a choc orange seems ideal:D

OK, I am in awe of everyone being so brave posting their weights, and I now feel it's 'safe' for me to do so too. Like Betty, I'm a shortie, at only 5ft 1" (if I stretch my neck). I was once in the single figures weight range, when I met my husband, and when we got married. 4 children seem to have had a lasting effect since. I've spent most of my adult life in double figures, and close to where I am now. So, here goes, as of today, I am a whopping 13st 11lb. On my frame (with size 3 feet, I shouldn't be carrying so much weight) it's just asking for trouble, especially as I'm the wrong side of 40 too.

Knowing I was in the Southern Stunners team has really kept me focussed today. It's galvinised my desire to do well, for me, and for the team. I don't want to let anyone down, and if I can help to lose, when others are struggling some weeks, then it can only be a good thing. I'm so glad you guys came up with the idea.

Welcome to all the newbies, and well done to those who have lost/STS this week, and 'you can do it!' to those who've had a disappointing week.

    Let the battle commence.....

Me too!! the whole 'team' mindset has made me stick religiously to my SW plan today!! I even altered my dinner plan to cut some fat out :D and I'm going to do some jumping around and wobbling about (aka exercise) in the living room tonight while OH works on the computer.

    Go Southern Stunners!!!! :T
