No dounbt someone really up in nutrition like the Erichmeister could explain the logic of why this should help ligaments to heal. I'm not sure if it's working but I'll try it for a bit longer.

hmm a bit more in depth than i go :p

this was very interesting, and ironically it is pretty much my diet

Thanks very much for the link Eric. It certainly overlaps with the advice I've been given.

I'd agree that a healthy diet with all the right nutrients must help any healing but I'm a bit wary of the chiro's advice to restrict wheat and oats - basically gluten. No sugar, of course. He also has an antipathy to yeast in its many forms and has suggested that the '5 a day' should be '10 a day' - which is fine - but only to include 2 pieces of fruit, all the rest to be veg. That just seems batty to me, unless you have a gluten problem which I don't. I'm happy with the increase in omega which means that I'm using more oil than i would if trying to LW.

Anyway I'll carry on for a bit longer, eating rice for my brekkie, and loads of veg but also loads of fruit.

Fred -- 1.5 lbs off this week please.

    HI FRED...
    this week i lost 1lb
and so am weighing in for the start of the challenge at 386 lbs
(APOLOGIES IF THAT NUMBER PUTS ANYBODY OFF THEIR BREAKFAST BY THE WAY!)

I'm woo-woo-wooing at losing 1 this week, last wednesday night and thursday had a huuuge binge... 2x12"pizzas, 16 buns, a ginger cake, 24 chocolate weetabix, chop suey rolls, chips etc... had a damage control weigh in on Friday and was 6lbs up at that point so have been trying extra extra hard since then to get rid of it by today.

    phew!

    Almond:
:hello:welcome aboard, there's plenty of help and support on here and am pretty sure there are some other people doing slimming world too.
Glad you've decided to join the North's team, very pleased to have your 13stone10 on our side. Keep posting and if there's anything you want to know just ask.

:T Mazza, Granny and all the other losers this week... congratulations

Hi All, had a shocking day and gave into temptation  as I found out today that I am having an operation in 2 weeks time! I am really sorry but I am going have to pull out of the south team :( I and I don't feel that I will be able to diet properly and don't want to let my team down.

Hopefully not to much damage done on the scales, but will find out tomorrow.

Hope everything's ok Pinkie and it's nothing too serious.

Sorry you won't be able to join us in defeating the northerners ;)

Did anyone watched Cherry gets married on BBC3 last night? It was all about different weddings and the host, Cherry, was getting married at the end. She was saying how she was 6lb off her target wedding weight so was only eating soup and went to a wedding boot camp. She then said to the camera 'oh my god i'm 9 stone 6' - well that put me in a foul mood as i would love to be 9st6

I guess some people have different ideas of what's ok, but she was not short like me and she was skinny to start with and ended up weighing 8st13 on her wedding day!
anyway, it put me in a bad mood cos she basically said that 9st6 is not ok and she was not happy with it, which isn't a very good message to put out there.

totm for me so i feel like mr blobby at the mo.
i got some evening primrose oil to calm my hormonal mood swings, thanks for the suggestion sary.

Anyway, onwards and upwards, literally for me as i have GAINED 1 lb!! :(:(:( (blaming totm weight for the gain, and the fact that i had some food before WI which I dont usually do)

So my start weight for the north/south challenge is 10st 9lb :eek: (149lb) which is am NOT happy with (especially as i am only about 5ft2 and so right now i look like a rugby ball with arms and legs sticking out), but more incentive to lose some extra lbs i suppose.

Still waiting for my workout dvd to arrive. last night OH suggested that I have done so many aerobics classes before that i probably know all the moves and could just do it myself in the living room without a DVD, but i'm not sure that it'd work as well as having an instructor (or celebrity) telling me what to do! but might give it a try just to see, I really feel lethargic and rubbish having not done any exercise for so long.

Right off to plan my SW meals for the day - it's about time I stuck to it and actually lost a few lbs!

good luck at WI everyone and well done to all the losers - puds, granny and mazza :T and anyone else i missed :)
