  • I'm really liking the idea of the North/South [STRIKE]divide[/STRIKE] challenge. It's just the motivation I need, and I am rather competitive. I also keep looking at a lot of the smaller clothes in my wardrobe and know I need to get into them again.

    Now, I was born in the south, but I live in the .... actually, I have no idea where they think I live is! It's south Lincs., and to me that's north, but my OH thinks he's in the south, and his mate thinks we're in the midlands! Any ideas anyone, or where is the 'line of death' that we're working from? The Pennines? The Humber? The Wash? I'm happy to join any gang.

    Off to have soup for lunch, so that I start as I mean to go on!:D

    I think the way to decide whether you're batting for north or south should be to say the word 'bath'
    'bAth' = north, 'bARth' = south!! ;)

    (and 'barf' = essex! :D)

    The Northern team was a bit lacking entrants at that stage - and I still feel like a Northerner even though I don't necessarily use all their isms!

    I suppose the line has to go somewhere, maybe this is your living room sarah?

    I don't think there is an official north south line of doom, but would be funny if there was! Wherever the line is I don't mind, so long as we get to keep the beautiful mountains of the lake district, the Scottish highlands and the Yorkshire dales... and as long as the South gets to keep the M25, funny tasting tap water and well erm, anybody from Norfolk as well!

    Funnelly: it's completely up to you and is only a bit of fun, so theres no real pressure... saying that though, if you want to be on the winning team in 4 weeks time then you're obviously gonna need to pick the buckfast beauties!

    Good choice there efrieze!!

    Betty - really glad that you've found some incentive. I'm all fired up and ready to go too. Plan to haul my 28 stone bulk up 18000 steps over the next 4 weeks

    I dont mind the m25! Love looking at the planes, spotting the hotties in the cars as you queue in traffic, its all good!

    My mum once said when she went to newcastle that, "in london youre only a metre away at any time from a rat but up there youre only one metre away from a pound shop" ha
