Gresilda - No need to be shy when ure hiding behind a keyboard hon
Fell - Great news!!!!
Victory - WooooooHooooo you go girl!!!!
Eric - Think positive, it's still coming off, and the right stuff is coming off now. You know you're doing it the right way.
Vix - Sorry to hear about u and matt hon, hope it all works out for the best
Granny - Welcome back :j
Not been a good week here, car has been off the road, I told them it was the alternator a week ago, no one listens to me, bro said all it needed was a battery, replaced, dead, then he said there was a broken wire on alternator, fixed, dead, eventually I took it to garage and got alternator replaced, and I've finally got my car back. There must be something in a man's brain that doesn't let them listen to women when it comes to anything technical or mechanical.
Anyhoo, motoring again, still on light duties at work. Have told the boss I will take the medical retirement. Only problem is, I got a call back from a job I applied for last week, have to call them today at some point. Oh well, can't win them all. So looks like I can kiss my retirement pay off goodbye :rotfl:
4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
As a child, I went to Paris and I became really ill, allergic reaction to something. Have never been back and its probably just my typical overreaction to a situation, but I wont ever go back, just in case! Even posh oysters in the louvre wouldn't entice me to go there!
Somethingsgottogive & Gresilda : welcome aboard! We all have different amounts of weight to lose, but wether it's twenty pounds or two hundred pounds, the thing we all have in common is that we can only take one day at a time. Long road, first step and all that!
Gresilda - the description of your circumstances is suprisingly similar to my own. Live on own - no support at home - lots to lose etc. There's lots of unlimited support on here, a sympathetic ear and occasionally a kick up the bum. If you're feeling a bit shy to post on the thread then you're welcome anytime to pm me if you prefer. I can't say I'm a full blown veggie cos i still eat turkey and tuna, but apart from that I more or less cut all meat out of my diet years ago. If you like big portions then quorn do 500g cottage pies at tesco, three for £5, at about 350 calories each. Do you have a plan in mind yet? wwatchers? cal counting etc?
Neilers, Fellpony, Eric, Victory & Mazza well done all - some good results again this week :-) :T:T:T:T:T
Fp - swapping choc for ryvita? blimey you are being harsh! It's been a while but doesn;t ryvita taste just like the cardboard packet that it's sold in? or have they improved it over the years?
Vixstar - dropping out of the tea group may seem unsocial but it sounds like the right thing to do to me. Surely they will understand?
Granny - welcome back :-)
Mazza - new job just around the corner! awesome. i bet you'll be glad toleave that hell-hole
Man vs Food...WEEK 8... I've weighed in today with a more-than-happy *7lb* loss, equal to 1.8% of body weight - total lost so far 33lbs
I might pop out and celebrate with a small salad!0 -
Had a sneaky peak at the scales today (one day early, tut tut, but waned to steel myself against any disappointment tomorrow) and i've lost 1.5 lb already
despite a few slices of cake at the weekend. hopefully will show the same result tomorrow morning for official WI.
GRR Betty when will you learn not to jinx yourself??!!:mad::mad:
Guess that was a blip coz i got on the scales this morning and was back to start weight!
So STS for me please Fred, as in ZERO still. Damn
Still will keep trying, only a week in and to be fair I did have some cake at the weekend.
I'm thinking of getting a workout DVD that I can do at home in my lunch hour - anyone got a good one they can reccomend???
Trouble is they are all annoying celebs, tho I heard Davina's in meant to be ok.
Going to join the local sport centre soon - OH and I can play squash at the weekend and when the new pool's open I can swim too, which will be nice. I hate not being active, it makes me feel like a big blob of jelly.
Fellpony well done on your amazing loss :T and big congrats to DD for going back to school - sounds like she's making good progress u must be pleased
Well done all you other fab losers - puds (amazing!), mazza, victory (and victory's DS!) and eveyone else :T:T:T
Vix sorry to hear about your break up, nice that you're still on good terms with him though.
Now off to avoid OH's Jaffa cakes all day (they talk to me, i swear!)Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
Why Put Off Until Tomorrow What You Can Do Today? :A0 -
I have some time off work so have done an early weigh in today as don't know what time I will be around later.
1lb loss for me thank you Fred not the greatest loss but still a loss.
Well done Puddings, Victory and Mazza on some great losses :T
Eric keep on plodding I bet your other figures changed this week, body fat and muscle mass etc......
BettyB - I have the done Davina and I have to say it is great work out if you ignore her mutterings and just get on with it. I used to do the high energy 5 as you can choose what area's you wanted to target. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Davina-McCall-High-Energy-Five/dp/B000VA3JMU/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1284542737&sr=8-8
But that has stopped playing for some reason so now I am doing superbody workout which is making me ache this morning so it must be doing something (I did it yesterday morning):rotfl:

Thanks - I work on my own at home at the mo. I might ask my friends if they have one tho.
I have a library nearby but it always seems to be closed.
I might try to rent one from LoveFilm :rotfl:
Victory - the little red choc balls filled with melty choc?? LOVE THEM!! They are my biggest treat and my OH buys the big box for me on special occasions and I eat the lot with no remorse! (apart from when they're all gone!!)Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
Why Put Off Until Tomorrow What You Can Do Today? :A0 -
I love with a passion lindl choc balls filled with praline, they talk to me so I never buy them but.... ...I put them in the basket and all around the supermarket they kept saying 'don't do it, you know last time you bought me the balls were so small you tried to eat just one but it did not work out for you so you kept going back for another one defeating the object, you might have just as well bought the big ones and had one and been happy and satisfied with that one'.
You know you can't do that though because you can hear the voices from the kitchen where you have hid them that we know you know we are here and you will eat us, normally in one go to get rid of them.0 -
Hey
Im new to this thread, but loving it already.
Just a bit about me
Im 32 years old, married and as well as gaining a husband, ive gained over a STONE!!! This has settled on my Thighs, bum and waist:mad:
Now, im quite an active person, usually walk 3 mile per day with dog, however, 2 weeks ago I fell and appeared to have fractured my ankle and torn ligaments etc.:o
Yes, I AM that clumsy!!! And I can't blame the dog either, I did it all by myself!!
I wanted to lose this stone and gave myself 7 weeks before going on my hols, however, then I had my "Accident".
I now only have 5 weeks to go and have only lost a measly 1lb!!
This is not enough, but I can hardly move and have to keep my foot up, or in other words, keep my hefty bulk off it!!
I am really trying to get motivated, but im struggling to be honest. Keep posting to keep me going. T
This is so depressing:(0
