  • Thanks granny. Yeah - I thought I'd get some good weight loss as a happy side effect. Absolutely no idea why I haven't.

Thanks eric for the info. As I am not excercising (medical advice)looks like I'm not going to be losing any internally either...hohum. Still I'm eating very healhily so must be good for me somehow:D

Welcome to our wonderful forum, somethingsgotto:beer:

Thanks Beanie, I'm here every day - just being quiet and 'listening' to the gossip.:):)

AIWITS - wooo! big day for you today (big drop day that is!)
The very best of luck, there's absolutely nothing to worry about, I bet once you've abseiled down the once, you'll want to go back up for another turn...
Anyway you don't need my support cos you'll have an incredibly strong rope that will be giving more support than you will ever need.
If theres a photo, then might you stick it on here for us to see please? :-)

Thanks Puddings and what a day it was

I was kept waiting for 2 hours as they were running late, so stood 100ft up a cliff watching other people do their descents in a gale force wind but at least the sun was shining
When it came to my turn ( I was the last of the day) They tighten the harness so tight my sides are still aching now. But I was quite scared standing at the top of a 180ft drop on to rocks with the tide coming in at a rate of knots. So I knew I just had to get on with it. I was sure the rope was not going to be strong enough to hold me, but the instructor was nice and kind, told me I had nothing to worry about.
The first few steps are the worse as your brain is telling you that you are stepping off a cliff backwards (you stupid fool!!!) but you are trying to tell yourself it is fine. Anyway to cut a long story short once I got going I just kept going 1 step after another and went straight down in one of the quickest times of the day. :D
I am very pleased with myself as I would never of even thought of doing anything like this 9 months ago. I just wonder what life is going to send my way next .......... any ideas Missy ???

Hope you had a lovely birthday Vixarooni And that coat is lovely I am super jealous.

Had a sneaky peak at the scales today (one day early, tut tut, but waned to steel myself against any disappointment tomorrow) and i've lost 1.5 lb already :D despite a few slices of cake at the weekend. hopefully will show the same result tomorrow morning for official WI.

    Hey everyone

Sorry I haven't been around, it's all a bit mad here and I've had to sacrifice my 'internet time' to make sure I don't fall behind with important things like exercise! :D Things should start easing up by next week. I want to lose a bit of weight before the end of the year so I need to stick with you guys!

alliwantistosave - congratulations!!! I don't think you need any ideas from me, you seem to be doing perfectly well on your own, but I'll look forward to hearing what your next challenge will be!

Well done to everyone who's sticking with their plan or getting back into it or whatever! Good luck! :T

The best advice I can give you on loosing weight is not to foccus on the bigger picture but do break it down into much smaller goals.
A lot of people do it in half stones.
