I despised netball, it was a bit weak and girly for my liking at the time.

I went to whitstable today and ive been saying all summer that i wanted to try a oyster so today was that day! 50p for an open one (foreign) or £1.25 for a proper whistable one. (i went foreign) The young girl behind the counter gave me the instructions with a bit of lemon. First few seconds of it were ok, and then the taste of sea water kicked in and jeez, i thought i was going to be sick. It was rank!!!!! So ive done it and i kept the shell as a memento. So that was my life story today.

Fredsnail can you add me to the chart please. I might aswell take weight into consideration but im focussing on other things to try and get thinner than i am now. Like fat percentage!

It hasnt been the best day for eating, i had an ice cream after my oyster and some chocoalte buttons but hey, ive just broken up with someone after 5 years, moved home again and turned 24 so all in all its probably an achievement!

I love whitestabubble, my friend has a place there :j

Fat % is the only way to go imo, weight and BMI are a waste of time

I read a very interesting article about over weight children, that the problem has to be dealt with as a family, never individualize, if more exercise is needed, do it as fun, all the family together, if it is healthy eating, all the family do it, never isolate the child, never treat him like he is the one that only has the problem and everyone carries on eating and lazing on the sofa as usual so we have all put that into practice.

Youngest has his bike profieciency at school all week and is ecstatic to take his bike, yesterday we walked to the supermarket which is just over a mile away and on the way back has a massive steep incline hill so the shopping trolley was laden and it was severely hard to get up but a whole load of sweat does no one any harm, youngest struggled but we made it:D

This afternoon he has got touch rugby I signed him up for at school, next he can choose dance or gymnastics, karate he does not want to do, he has gone back to cubs, he loves walking and cycling so every weekend we are aiming to do that, all of us, together.

When we were in the supermarket, he kept pointing out all these things to eat, healthy stuff like cherry toms he loves and cucumber and lettuce for his wraps, mexican cheese he asked for, we spent a lot of time in the supermarket explaining to him the good and bad, he wanted capri sun and I said look at the sugar content and he gasped when it was over 20:D

I have lost weight this week will put it on wednesday and he has also so we are both chuffed and everyone is involved in this even better.:D

I think we all know we respond much better to a positive environment and encouragement rather than being beaten with a stick, especially if your suffering from depression etc

The article was not aimed at adults weight loss at all, it was more of a parental guide on how to handle the maze of an over weight child without affecting them psychologically for life:D if they are happy and involved then they will co-operate and not moan, feel overwhelmed, if everyone is doing the same thing it will become the norm for them to cycle to eat healthy to not sit down on the sofa after school and do nothing etc, kids re-act to the goings on around them and if it is positive and productive then they will follow:D

Havent got a scooby hezza!! Its not amazingly thick, so probably not the warmest of the warm, but thats what layers are for!!

Paris, im jealous! When are you going? I absolutly adore paris, its my favourite place i think. The vibe of the city is just so nice, and the clothes, the men, the attractions, the culture, just wow. Moulin rouge if you havent already been is a good evening. Esp when slightly tipsy.

3 days/2 nights during October half term, travelling on Eurostar (which I've only used once before but that was to go straight to Disneyland so it doesn't count), meeting friends there who are over from the US and staying just around the corner from the Louvre so everything is in walking distance (or rolling distance as one of my friends is wheelchair bound). Can't wait as I haven't been to Paris in over 20 years!! :j But bit nervous about looking the part, I usually look like a bag lady on holiday so your coat would be ideal for swanning around in - can I borrow it?;)
