Congratulations on all the good weight losses this week!
Thanks for everyone's support during my bad week.I have been trying to make time for myself, but it is not easy.
I had a horrible blip this week as predicted 2lbs on :eek:. I am just reminding myself that I am still 17llbs lighter. I have hopefully refocused myself and get back on track.
People have started to notice my weight loss and I have started to feel very self-conscious about it. I am used to being the fat girl in the corner that no one notices.I know this might sound like a silly problem, but it is something I do not know how to deal with, as I still feel the same inside.:j Target weight loss 2010 30lbs - Weight loss so far 17lbs :j0 -

Hey romylou - have you considered Slimming World? On their plan you can eat as much pasta as you like! I am currently trying it (but failing today - think I am going to blame the time of the month for my jaffa cake resistance failure)
but seriously it is a good plan and I have lost weight on it before, it's not too hard so long as you remember the basic principles and you can eat all day and not starve yourself.Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Back when i used to be a size 16 and then dropped to a small 12 it was amazing the differet reaction you get from everyone. Suddenly boys noticed me where before no one was!! Its hard, but you do change how you see your self over time. Look back on photos of when you were bigger, then you can see the change and start to believe it!0 -
It is not a silly problem and happens to us all, we all suddenly go from being so lacking in self confidence and self worth and self belief to loosing the weight and all the attention is on us, people want to let us know how good we look, how did we do it? Did we find it hard? etc engage them in conversation, stand tall and proud and tell them how you did it and how pleased you are, I had awful problems letting go of the black clothes and moving on to colour and clothes that fitted me, belts what are they used for?:rotfl::rotfl:
It comes with time, the more you see in the mirror how you have changed the more your mind will believe it also and the comments are great:D
Thanks for your advice, maybe its time to start actually looking in the mirror and seeing what other people see! My mum and I are going shopping soon so I shall take your advice and go for colour:j Target weight loss 2010 30lbs - Weight loss so far 17lbs :j0 -
Ok so i bought some scales today!! Ones that have fat % water % and muscle mass %. Its lush! I like these ones too because the machines in boots say my fat % is over 40% but these ones say its less! Heres my Stats:
Weight: 10 stone 9.4 (dunno where that 9lbs has come from!)
Fat: 31.6% (quite a difference from over 40% on the other machine)
Water: 49.5%
Muscle: 35.1%
Im excited by the figures, its nice to have varying figures to look at i think, rather than just one!
I went to the gym today aswell. I did a bit of running which im lousy at. I pushed out for another 2 and a half minutes (i only ran for like 5 or 6 ha) You should have heard what i was shouting at myself in my head! I was going: clothes, nice clothes i wont look fat in, nice legs! It then got ruder so i wont put that in!
oh and i applied for a job today, its all good!0 -
The conversation with the chocolate really made me laugh, Victory. I don't understnd how food can shout so loudly even when inside cupboards or the fridge but it certainly does.
Fred - please put me at 5lb off for this week, starting afresh fron 0 again
I've had a bit of an eating change this week on the advice of my chiropractor. he said that the ligaments in my hip were strained and would recover more quickly if I stopped eating wheat, oats and sugar. So I'm giving it a try. In a way I don't want it to work as I don't see why it should ....... but so far it is. And as a side effect it seems to have resulted in a loss.
So overall now since I started this a looooooooong time ago... I've lost 27.5lbs. (But I had lost 55lbs until I started putting it all back on again last NovemberWhat an idiot.)
